Robert Redford Electrical (RRE) sets the standard that all contractors should strive to meet! We met and interviewed a number of Electrical contractors to inspect and repair any electrical issues and most importantly remove any knob and tube wiring in our c1898 home. It became clear very quickly that choosing the right contractor for this type of work is extremely important.

It was clear from the moment that we met Robert that he was well versed in this type of work. This quote was clear and concise and he reassured us that any holes he would have to be made in our walls would be kept to a minimum.
In total his crew only had to make 5 small holes on the main floor which will be easy to repair.

His crew were fantastic, they were both clean cut and very pleasant young men. They arrived on time every morning and put in a full day of work. At the end of each day they cleaned up after themselves and kept us up to date on their progress.

At the end of the project RRE provided us with a letter that we can provide our insurer documenting all the work that was done and that all knob and tube wiring has been deactivated.

We will definitely be using RRE again for any other electrical work we may have, I would recommend RRE to all home owners especially owners of heritage homes who want to remove their old wiring.

We live in a larger heritage home with beautiful woodwork and moldings throughout. The house had a lot of remaining wiring from 1910, which was of great concern to our insurers. The two conditions seemed incompatible for a painless solution.
We were fortunate to meet Robert, who advised us of previous similar work performed , with limited damage to the homes. We were sufficiently reassured to proceed, and I am very pleased that we did.
Roberts main electricians on the job were Jaret and Steve, who were able , over the course of a few weeks disconnect all old wiring, replacing it with new circuits, as well as adding over 90 halogen potlights to brighten up the dark corners of each room and hallway.The result was nothing short of spectacular. Our old house has simply come alive with this transformation. Whereas we were previously expecting to paint out much of the dark wood, the new lighting has brought a lovely warm glow that we had never previously seen.
All of this work was performed with remarkably little damage to the original plasterwork, and no woodwork was even touched.
It was a great pleasure to have had Robert and his colleagues in our home. I would ( and already have ) recommend them without hesitation to anyone contemplating an electrical upgrade on a heritage style home.

All the questions I asked were answered in a simple way that was easy to understand.Robert was very helpful in setting up an appointment for the installation, and his over the phone estimate based on our conversation was exactly what I was charged, no extras, no surprises. Jaret the installer showed up exactly when promised, did the installation in a quick professional matter and left with no mess, no fuss.

Selected Robert Redford based on the reviews I read here. Pretty bang on with the reviews. Robert came over to look at the wiring and gave us a quote. He gave us some options on what could be done and left us to consider. His team started within the week and they were done in 2 days. They cleaned up after their job and in the end even checked our smoke detectors for us.

Robert was good to deal with, he was on time and on budget. It was a rush job, re-wiring the condo we were about to move into and Robert made sure his guys got it done before we moved in (they only had a 2 day window - and only 2 days notice!) and we were very impressed. The guys were nice, helpful and professional and got the job done. It was about what we expected as far as cost and we got a certificate in writing that the work was done to code. Very happy!

First off, my experience with Redford Electric was fantastic. The work I required included relocation of my existing panel to remedy a low hanging BCHydro supply wire, an upgrade to 200 amp service, a subpanel for a basement suite, and install of interconnected fire alarms across 3 levels. I contacted 3 other electrical companies from Homestars for quotes for a total of 4 estimates. Redford Electrical was competitive, and although not the lowest price by a small margin, I decided to go with them based on my dialogue with them during the estimating. The install by Jaret was first class and went very smoothly, on time both on the jobsite and delivering the finished result. I contacted Robert Redford Electrical to installed new convection heaters in my home. The work was done on time and in a very professional manner. It is rare that a project starts and completes on time, but Robert & his crew were punctual, efficient and delivered on all their promises. I would definitely recommend them again.
