New Home

How can a builder charge $1.5 million for a home and not even offer smooth ceilings on the upper floor in their package without charging a huge premium. Most other builders in the Upper Thornhill area do.......

Upgraded the front door. side door, and kitchen.

Country wide homes is very good at making others satisfied, I wanted to upgrade certain items such as the front and side doors, also kitchen upgrades as well. Country wide homes did not disappoint as they gave a great price, and offered great customer service. I'm glad I chose country wide homes.

New home

We did upgrade in our house for side door ,but now they told us after 6 months that we didn't got the permission from city, but it's not true

they forgot to apply for it I went to city by my self and city said country wide didn't apply for it they just apply for 19th cirillo dr.even the house is more on hight then my17th

Second thing we ask for open space from kitchen to dining room they forget that too.. How careless!!!
Now abt the Coustomer rite??
We pick the tile for wash room we paid extra money for that, now they put the different tiles when we talk to design studio they said we don't have tiles ,which you pick..
So we pay money for your pick???
Hope you understand if it is small issue we don't care
Please look in to it very Seriously
It's all about prestige of countrywide
Your slogan said we build up the trust
After all this we don't think abt that trust

New home

DO NOT BUY from Countrywide. They have very questionable sales practices, extremely poor customer service and the quality of the homes, considering the price being paid, is sub par at best. We have recently moved into our new home and have a list of issues. Calls/emails go unanswered, hardwood and tiling need to be replaced, wrong finishes installed, kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets are so damaged/scratched, some drawers barely close. There are chunks missing from walls and door trims. How can a builder turn over a home in this state to their buyer. It has been a horrible experience purchasing from Countrywide, a decision I regret on a daily basis.

Country Wide sales and decor center were pleasant experiences, but when it came to any fixes needing to be done to the house, forget it! They have gone though 5 people in the last 11 months to manage the handling of repair requests. None of who are competent or follow though. A bit of our roof over the driveway is not covered by the eavestrough, and before the winter we notified them this is going to be an issue. They said it was the design. All winter long I had to get the broom out and hit down the 3 foot icicles that hunt 20 feet up above the driveway. At the end of the winter, an icicle finally fell while I was backing out of the garage and dented my car. We told them about this and they said they could not anticipate ice. We live in Canada! What a joke! They say it was by design and will not do anything about it. I would NEVER buy a Country Wide home again or recommend it.

They also fibbed about a fence put in incorrectly, saying that is how it was signed off by the town, but they couldn't give me the town contact because "they couldn't read the signature". I found the person within the town that deals with it and they sent me the papers showing that the fence was done incorrectly and now needs to be fixed after the grass and everything has been done.

New Home - Wismer Commons

Terrible builder. Shotty wormanship. Numerous items on PDI that you need to follow up on or will never get fixed. Missed appts, contractor no shows etc. When we first went to see the house while it was being constructed we noticed that some walls that we had paid to be removed had been installed. We had to contact the builder to make them remove them. Had we not gone to see it during pre-construction the walls would have remained. Issues with, tiling, piping, painting. You name it and we have a problem with it. Sub-contractors don't give a hoot about the quality. They are on a timeline so they rush eveything. Quality is garbage and would never buy from this builder again. Looks like they build just to minimum code and use the cheapest materials in order to increase their profits. Made a bad choice going with Countrywide over the other builders that were building in Upper Unionville.

New Kleinburg Hills Home

Be prepared to be nickel and dimed to death and to be thoroughly disappointed every single step of the way. We are 4 months away from closing (unless we are delayed again) and I must say that not a week has gone by in the last year since we put an offer on the home that there have been issues.

From a prolonged offer process, complications with structural items, decor selections, pricing issues, lost paperwork, unexpected structural changes, and so much more, we don't wish such a terrible and frustrating experience on anyone.

We're just getting ready for even more frustration once we move in. The workmanship so far isn't the worst but the communication and business practices are extremely questionable. Buyer beware - this is not the type of company to deal with for the faint of heart or for those who don't want to babysit their builder. If you turn around and don't pay attention for a second, they will definitely screw you over.

Terrible customer service. Service appointments never kept and/or canceled at the last minute. Poor workmanship as a three year old house the roof is leaking. Builder claims that it is not in warranty and won't do anything. Very disappointed and will not recommend this builder.

Worst customer service, get passed on until your file is lost. Major pipe burst in first week flooded basement. Raised uneven ties throughout. Non sanded, but painted walls. Had to have them change rails twice before we moved in and once after. They do read the extras. No care for their work. They just want you money for the home and extras
