Move from 2.5 bedroom house to townhouse.

I was nervous and stressed about my move from a house to a townhouse. Within a few hours of contacting Fireman Movers by email, co-owner Scott had responded with a fair and competitive quote. During further telephone conversations, Scott and Melissa answered all of my questions. On moving day, I needed a couple of items to be picked up at another location before arriving at my house. No problem. Movers Jesse D. and Harry arrived promptly in a big red, shiny, cheerful truck. They were friendly, respectful and professional. They expertly wrapped every piece of furniture and moved quickly and efficiently. When we arrived at the townhouse, they carefully moved the furniture in and unwrapped each piece, taking care not to leave any debris behind. No hidden fees or surprises when it came time to pay the bill. What a relief, the move went very smoothly, thanks to Firemen Movers. I will definitely call you for my next move and recommend you to family and friends.

Move a 3 bedroom home within town

We used firemen after a bad experience in moving my in-laws last year. This time, the experience couldn't have been better. Everything was moved carefully and quickly to our new house. Jim was in charge of our move and he, and everyone we dealt with, were very professional, on-time and didn't stop moving for the entire day.

They estimated 8 hours, came in 20 mins over and charged for 8 hours. (The 20 mins over was probably due to struggling with a couch and a doorway, so easily excused.) I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Moving

A few good men from Fireman Movers moved myself and my elderly parents from our home in Etobicoke last summer. Aaron, Kyle and the rest of the crew were hard working, diligent, and very personable. Dare I say it was almost "fun". Not what you would expect on moving day. These guys are really great!!

Move

In August 2012 we hired the Firemen Movers to help with our second move in a year (from one small 3 bedroom house to another) - we did our own packing, but purchased supplies from them, which they conveniently delivered. Their clean cut crew showed up right on time, ready to work hard (which they did!), and they moved all our things with great care and efficiency. This is our second time using Firement Movers, and they are really an upstanding company. We have been very impressed, and have no hesitation recommending their services.

Movers

You don't have to read many reviews about movers on this site to see some real horror stories, but I can tell you there is no horror dealing with Firemen Movers, from my first contact with them on the telephone to the empty truck driving away from my new home every step of the move was a pleasure.

First off our inquiry started with leaving a voicemail for the company. Their outgoing message said that all staff were on a full day of training and they would make every effort to contact me that day. Within two hours I had a call back from one of the company owners, Doug Harper. We arranged for Doug to come out to the house to provide us with an estimate, on a Sunday morning. Doug was there on time which was surprising since he is an active fire captain in Etobicoke and had been up battling a motel fire the night before. He was very friendly and explained everything that Firemen Movers would do for us. We were impressed and coupled with the excellent reviews here on HomeStars we booked the move with him.

Two days before moving day we had a call from the office confirming the move and providing us with an arrival window of 1/2 an hour.

Moving day, the shiny red truck arrived on time with three young men on board; Curtis W, Chris T and Jamie. They all introduced themselves, then asked to see what would be involved in the move. Then they got to work and never stopped working the whole time they were with us. We have moved many times before and were used to movers disappearing regularly during the move for a smoke or some other break. Not with Curtis, Chris and Jamie. They wrapped all our furniture in plastic wrap and blankets and packed it carefully on the truck. Everything was secured with tie downs and I swear the truck could have tipped over and our furniture would not have moved.

At the new house they carefully laid red runners everywhere and then started the unpacking process. Again they never stopped moving. Doug had estimated 7 1/2 hours for the move but Curtis, Chris and Jamie did it in 5. Nothing was scratched or broken. Doug warned that damage is inevitable but he was wrong.

Moving is a stressful time, but Firemen Movers don't add to the stress, if anything they alleviate it. Great company and I do not hesitate to recommend them. You won't find better!!!

moving

I was extremely pleased with the service, it is often scary and uncomfortable when using movers. So many stories of dishonesty, but Firmen Movers was recommended to me, and my friends were just as pleased as myself. I have since referred them to other friends. Great hard working young men.An excellent experience.

Movers

Trained firefighteres awaiting placement. Jesse D. & Jamie moved me from Toronto to Brampton on Aug. 28, 2012. Great packers - shrink wrapped all mirrors, dressers, etc. Assembled bedframe at destination - absolutely NO NICKS when transporting dressers - courteous, punctual & wouldn't let me lift a finger. Would use them again & recommend them to friends! Thanks guys! You were the best!

Moving from a 2 bedroom apartment to a house in Toronto

Absolutely the best - very hardworking, well organized, friendly and extremely efficient. We moved in July 2010, and I just have not had a chance to say thank you to them earlier.

The 3 strong guys came 15 minutes ahead of schedule, and on the way to our floor got a superintendent to put the building elevator on service. They carried our bins two or three at a time, and many of the bins were full with books and so heavy, that I could hardly move one by pushing it, not to mention by lifting it. When we arrived to our new house, and realized there was not enough free space for the truck, they went to our future neighbors and offered to rearrange their parked cars instead of waiting for us to figure it all out. They did not break or damage a single thing, all the furniture was carefully wrapped in plastic and blankets, including some old staff I would not bother to wrap myself. They refused to take any breaks, although it was more than 30 degrees outside. The whole process took no more than 3 or 4 hours. Given our previous experience with other companies we expected it to be at least twice as long, and prepared to carry quite a few odd boxes ourselves - well, they did not give us the opportunity.:)

Thank you, Firemen Movers.

Moving

For everyone who has been through a moving nightmare, try Fireman Movers. Andrew B, Moses R and Ahmed S were ultra-efficient, very organized, respectful and personable. I really felt that my belongings were in safe hands through the entire move (all furniture is shrinkwrapped and then blanketed). They worked really quickly & efficiently to ensure that they didn't go over the estimated time, and when the move was done, they sat down with me to go through everything in detail. I highly recommend these guys
