They made me feel like I could do better without adding to the bill which is mentorship in my eye. Detail oriented and never too busy to help. I'm so glad I found Memar Architecture.

Our experience with Memar was unfortunately not so positive. This was our first time working with an architect; we had some contact with Sean, but our main contact was a different person, who did the bulk of the drafting as far as we could tell. In the end, we got plans and a permit for a modest home addition at a reasonable price. On the plus side, plans were drawn up quickly, and when the City objected to some points, Sean dealt with City staff directly in a timely way at no additional cost to us. On the debit side, we were hoping for more design ideas from the architect with whom we worked directly, and some details were left to the builder to sort out, or for us to communicate to the builder. Also, following the development of a first draft of the plans based on a survey drawing of the property, there was initial resistance to making an on-site visit before completing the plans and submitting them to the City (which was quickly overcome, but still). Ultimately, it turned out that the plans contained errors that had to be addressed at an additional cost to us (e.g., measurements for stair height were, according to our builder, not to code and an extra stair had to be included). As well, we received conflicting information from Memar during the process (e.g., whether or not measurements of the home interior would have to be submitted to the City, which they ultimately did). The other reviews here are very positive and our experience appears to be an exception, but on the basis of it I would not work with Memar again.

We originally reached out to Sean Toussi and his team for a major renovation to our house. They helped us with analyzing the costs, time and effort needed to do the job and finally we decided to go with a new house. They put together a total budget targets, and created a custom progress chart for our construction to make sure we keep track of our cost and time. The design was creative with amazing respond time. they are definitely 10 out of 10.

Memar Architects have been great throughout our project. They helped us design the house of our dreams and throughout the whole process they were very helpful and informative. They were always ready to respond to any questions or concerns we had and explained the process step by step. Khalid and Sean have been amazing and have really helped us achieve the vision we had for our home. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We interviewed a number of architects and designer for our custom home in Oakville. We're glad we went with Memar and specifically Khalid, their lead designer. Khalid's experience and knowledge was also demonstrated when designing the home - we literally started with ideas on a napkin and Khalid converted that to our final plans and added his insight along the way making excellent recommendations. This price was also very competitive.

Sean, the owner, has a great company and people like Khalid are really committed to their clients. Khalid was quick to respond and on several occasions he went above and beyond to make sure changes we had were incorporated and issues expedited with the city.

Some constructive feedback - Memar recently expanded into Oakville, we had some ups and down with the submission process with the town but that is partly because the bylaws also changed this year. Khalid was patient and helped us navigate the intricacies of dealing with the city. Any future projects this team does in oakville won't have any problems I'm sure.

We're in the construction phase and looking forward to our new home thanks in big part to Memar and Khalid!

I dealt with Memar Architects in different projects. The latest was front, rear and second floor additions of my house in Mississauga. They are very experienced in dealing with permit drawings preparation. We got the approval for the architectural and structural drawings from the first shot, which is unusual for the City of Mississauga. They provide premium and high customer service. They respond immediately for your inquiries. I like working with these professionals and do recommend them for everyone.

I am extremely happy with Sean and Memar Architects. I interviewed several Architects for my conversion project (turning a single family home into rental units) and Sean was a clear choice for this project. He is very familiar with all of the zoning and permit issues I needed to address, is very thorough, creative and attentive. He always takes the time to answer my numerous detailed questions, and truly thinks outside the box. He has gone above and beyond in so many ways.
