Meridian Windows & Doors (Alberta) Inc. No Longer In Business

The windows were installed very professionally and in a timley manner, the fuctionality was explained to us upon completion. we were called prior to installition to set up a time, the installers were on time and completed the installiation in one day Good Work.

I would like to Update my review of Sept 27/13... The company has responded positively and fixed our front door, replaced a window and redone some caulking. We have gone from a very unhappy customer to a "we are good now" customer and I would recommend them as their product seems very good and looks great. However it is imperative that you discuss with the sales person and completely understand what they will do regarding installation and clean up and what you need to do before they arrive. I would have this in writing and signed so everyone is on the same page. If this is done, you will certainly be happy with their product.

I am very pleased with the windows and service I received from Meridian from choice of windows to installation. Ed came out in a timely manner to give a quote and suggestions of what to get which was a great help.

Edward (salesman) was prompt to arrive at our home at agreed upon time. He was very helpful, taking measurements and providing several options for our replacement door. The installers were great, on time and the job only took 2.5 hours. 1 of the installers took the time to show the features of the installed door (sliding window, etc.) One drawback: I had originally ordered the door with brass colored grids (squares)in the window. A plain window was installed in the door. I was contacted promptly (within 2 days) and was advised brass color is no longer available and the grids would be larger than those in the existing doors on the same side of the house. I was offered and accepted a discount on the original price . I have already recommended Meridian to 2 people!

We had four windows and a door installed. The windows are good but one doesn’t close properly. The were not so clean during installation and they were arguing, it didn’t sound good. One guy (who seemed more important) was yelling at the other (who seemed new).

We replaced the window off of the ensuite bathroom. What happened was there was a crack beginning to spider right beneath the original window where the bath is located. The window they put in is a different style from the traditional paned window we had before. It is clear and the top part opens, helping stabilize the room temperate preventing it from becoming a steam room after a shower. They were super fast, spending 2-2.5 hours, one afternoon, on the install. They were very nice to deal with and the window is really nice, completely different; no bars, not visually choppy. I would definitely recommend this company.
