What a mistake having Taylor Munro do the job. Despite promising an efficient system with a professional installation, I got shoddy workmanship, an underperforming system, a leak in my roof, and was told I would have to pay for any repairs.
I took the matter to the Better Business Bureau and was told that Taylor Munro has other claims against them, and are a problem to deal with. (Should have called them first!). Taylor Munro energy systems delayed and avoided answering the BBB pushing the a two year delay. They slandered me and accused me of not paying the full amount, and insisted they installed according the manufacturers specs. The Manufacturer sent me the install manual and it states; a minimum of half the size of the pool in panels for a south facing roof, more for west… I got less than half and face west, Therefore it can’t possibly work efficiently. The manual says all pipe should be the same size, it isn’t. The system should be able to drain completely for winter, it doesn’t. A pressure relief valve should be at the highest point, there isn’t one. Panels should be placed away from other objects on the roof, they put a panel up against the skylight, trapping water and causing a roof leak in a two year old roof.
