I found this company through the BBB. Right from the start I felt comfortable in dealing with the company as Bruce the representative spent the time to explain in detail what would be done. Not only did they demonstrate that they wanted the business based on price but they delivered on everything Bruce explained and within the timeline they promised. Dennis and his crew were hardworking, neat and courteous. I would highly recommend the company.

We were extremely happy with the detail, every detail. It is a big decision to spend $'s on a cedar roof over conventional asphalt, but I would do it again in a minute. Exceptional craftsmanship. Even the copper flashings were artwork. Absolutely great crew. They worked consequtive days until the job was complete.

Bruce Windsor was my initial contact. He came to see roof promptly, gave us a quotation, and was pleasant to deal with. I subsequently obtained several other quotations.
I had further discussions with Bruce regarding the potential cost of new sheathing, and decided to accept Royal York's quotation. The job was started within two weeks. I then had several discussions regarding schedule and minor details with Pavel. The site crew did an excellent job and left me with a very favourable impression of Royal York Roofing.

Estimator Bruce came out to do our estimate promptly and as soon as I mentioned the leak we had he was on the phone to Pavel to see if they could do my roof quickly. I got 3 quotes for the same shingles and the prices were dramatically different and RYR provided the best quote. True to their word they did my roof the next week. The eavestroughs were not an emergency so they are being done today, and Pavel called the day before to let me know they were coming. Thank you to Lauren for always being pleasant and answering my questions and getting back to me if she had to check with others.

We wanted to replace our old asphalt shingles with something a little better and decided to go with synthetic slate. Our house is small, and we had a hard time finding a contractor who was willing to do the work. Royal York Roofing Ltd did a great job for us and it has resulted in an excellent upgrade to our property. The cost was as estimated. The crew worked diligently and cleaned up every day. We are very happy with the result and recommend this company highly.

The job was quite difficult due to limited space to work and an extremely high roof and I needed to have it done at the worse time of year due to wanting to protect my front flower garden. The job was completed in 2 days. Garden was fully protected, and the clean-up was amazing. The team of 7-10 men were here at most times and every thing went smoothly--aside from watching them work at such terrifying heights! Price was fair and there were no surprises.

I would highly recommend Royal York for your roofing needs - they have been a pleasure to work with since day one. We needed a new shingle roof, in addition to new eavestroughs and gutter guards. We received 5 estimates and Royal York's quote was excellent. Additionally, their timing was great - work began not too long after the initial meeting, and RYR was able to fit the job in right after much of the snow had cleared in March, allowing us to beat all the April showers. Many other companies were not willing to begin this early, or had wanted to complete the job several weeks later. They documented everything clearly, from pricing to photographing the condition of the roof structure all the way through to completion. Additionally, a small crew returned in a timely manner to perfect a few items that needed touch-ups including some sealant on some eaves.

Bruce and Pavel are trustworthy, fair and professional, and they worked hard to give us the best value along with high quality work. I would definitely recommend getting an estimate from Royal York Roofing if you're in need of a roof in the GTA. Great roofers.
