At the end of April I had a Mr Tankless sales person show up to provide an estimate. Firstly, he looked and dressed like an 80's porn actor, and then he provided a contract that was from "EnSource", and not Mr Tankless. I was suspicious, but I had done my homework on the Navien product line, and their quote was in line with what I had received from other vendors.
Since I was more concerned with the product than the vendor, I gave them a $500 deposit. About a month later I received a call saying that they'd be their on June 9th, but I needed cash or a certified cheque for the balance.
I said no, because I intended to put the balance on credit card for the points and purchase protection.
June 9th came, and no one showed. When I called their number, a lady representing the property management company, advised me that Mr Tankless had moved out of their premises without notice two weeks earlier.
I was given another number, which was a mobile number whose mailbox was constantly full. I finally got through well enough to leave a message, but not call back.
Since then I had read similar reviews from other Mr Tankless customers, which make me feel like a fool for not investigating them further. This company has likely gone bankrupt, they owe money to everyone, and I will likely have to chaulk this up to a $500 lesson.
