Lindy Architect

We hired the Lindy Consulting Architect team for our home renovation and addition project. The entire house was gutted and we added a beautiful sunroom downstairs and a master bedroom upstairs. We are very happy with the results.

We hired Lindy Consulting Architects - (Annette and Steve) to design a rear addition to our home in North York which included 2 extra bedrooms on the second floor and an enlarged kitchen, washroom, mudroom and deck on the main floor. They addressed all of our issues and concerns. The house addition is in keeping with the existing house. We are extremely happy with the outcome. The design and permit drawings progressed smoothly, and the drawings were extremely well detailed and thought out to the "n-th" degree. We would recommend them wholeheartedly for anyone considering a renovation or addition project.

My wife and I were in the middle of buying a home and we wanted to make sure that we would be able to do specific renovations before finalizing the sale (i.e. remove certain load-bearing walls, etc.). From this, I realized that we were dealing with a professional who would be doing things by the book, which is a characteristic my wife and I definitely appreciate. Adding to an older house in an established neighbourhood can feel daunting.You want to preserve the character of the house while making sure that the addition will feel fresh and modern.Steve and Annette understood very well the "vibe" we were looking for and helped us articulate our own ideas as well as steering us in the right direction.It turned out just as we wanted.

As DIYers my husband and I were complete newbies to the world of architects and contractors. When we decided that we wanted to renovate our attic to create an extra room in our house, we realized we needed professional help. We were lucky enough to have found Steven and Annette to help us realize our project. They were lovely: prompt, pleasant, personable, professional, patient and last but not least, affordable. I have had the pleasure of working with the Lindy’s on multiple occasions. In our first project together there were interior alterations including a new kitchen, and re-orienting rooms in a bungalow. This meant removing load bearing walls. The plan we devised created amazing space, flow and continuity in a house that was initially dark and boxed-in.

Thanks to Steve’s architectural drawings and design, I have just received my building permit for a complete renovation of my four bedroom home in Cedarvale. We opened many walls on the ground floor, which will create fabulous open-concept living. In addition, we redesigned the basement to make a guest room and playroom, and on the second floor we are adding a new bathroom for the kids, and turning the existing family bath into an incredible master retreat.

We engaged Lindy Consulting to help us with our plans to completely renovate and renew our “back split” house in North York.
