Toronto Home Theater

I've been using Mike and Toronto Home Theater since 2008. My most recent project involved setup of whole home audio and video. Mike offered valuable input early in the construction process helping us achieve our project goals.

As expected, everything was delivered and installed with perfection.

After a previously disappointing (and expensive) experience with another home theater company, I wanted to work with someone with integrity and customer-focus. I found Toronto Home Theater on HomeStars, and Mike lived up to all of the reviews. He was honest, straight-forward, timely, and responsive. I will continue to work with Mike on all future home technology projects.

We have been thinking about renovating our basement to include a home theater for a while. We came across the strong recommendations on the HomeStars website for Toronto Home Theater and decided to give them a call. Mike was very easy to reach and our first conversation on the phone was informative. Mike came to meet us at our house for a walk-through. I was impressed with his knowledge. Our basement is already furnished and the room that we were interested in had reasonable light control. We did however have a bunkered ceiling making it awkward to mount an HD projector. We ultimately discussed the option of building a box for the projector. Once we had our budget laid out, Mike was able to make great recommendations on how to keep the price down. We went with an Epson HD projector, Fixed frame 106" screen, a Denon receiver, and Sinclair speakers. He was able to look at our existing setup and use one of our existing power conditioners, and surge protectors. He also noticed that we had a "wired" house for multi room music, and advised on how to make this compatible with a Sonos system (as bonus).

We booked our project within 2 weeks and he came in with a couple of his partners (including a carpenter). We did end up purchasing our own media console from Costco to keep the price point down. Mike was great in helping us make the selection to ensure that it would not only look good but function well. Mike and his crew arrived on time, and the team worked 9 hours straight with very little breaks. We were so impressed with their hard work ethic and professionalism. Mike was able to determine that we did not need a couple of products that were in our original quote and passed the savings on to us. They did not cut corners and prided themselves on the quality of their work. Once the project was complete, we gave it a test run, and it was amazing. Please see attached pics. At the end of the day, they did notice some mild static / white noise on the speakers. Mike is a perfectionist and was not happy with this. He came back the next day and replaced the receiver. We found that this corrected the issue for a couple of days but it came back. He was patient with us and went step by step to help us troubleshoot the issue. He was easy to reach and constantly emphasized that he wanted everything to work perfectly. We ultimately found that it was likely a loose cable connection that solved the issue. The system has been working very well for the last few weeks. My family enjoy the theater regularly and feel that it was well worth the investment.

Overall, Toronto Home Theater offers a fair price. They perform excellent quality work in a professional manner, and are easily accessible for troubleshooting. We did not have our HD antenna hooked up yet, and he offered to come back again once it was up and running to program it into our system. Thanks for a great job.

To start with, if i had to use one adjective to describe mike - I would use HONEST.

The reviews are the real deal. Mike has done an amazing job at my home. He was diligent and so knowledgeable about the products. He steered me in the right direction and never forced a product on me. I took his recommendations - and i could not be happier. Due to my lack of knowledge with this kind of stuff, he taught me a lot and any concern I had - he answered it within hours.

Mike and his crew did an awesome job in our theatre room. He chose the right products for the space and I could not be happier with their work. At first I thought the reviews were too good to be true, but Mike and his team did an amazing job in the space. No more "Hillbilly Home Theatre" for me! I would recommend "THT" to anyone looking to upgrade their entertainment space!

Second time I have used Toronto Home. I had them mount a TV in the living room, (mostly for my daughter & wife - frees up the main basement room set up for me LOL) which required a new outlet and running wires in the wall to the AV unit. Nicest staff and quick. Honestly thought I would be waiting a month just because of seasonal rush. I got it installed in less then a week from first phone call. For the work involved, price is more then fair!!

We had been budgeting for a home theater for almost a year, so when we were ready we wanted to make sure we went with the right company.

I'm glad we chose Toronto Home Theater (thanks to a recommendation from a friend).

Due to the small size of our space, we wanted as much hidden as possible. Mike suggested in-wall surround sound and I'm so glad he did. I hated the though of having speakers stands and wires everywhere, especially in a room so small.

When all was said and done, we were given true 5 star service with a complete end to end solution, from the leather recliners to set up and remote programming, Mike and his team were absolute pros.

And we ended up staying under our budget by about $1000 which was nice.

Just in time for our New Years Eve bash this year.

Mike at Toronto Home Theater is a perfectionist and awesome at what he does. The home theater in my house is the only thing that consistently works and any issue or question I have he promptly answers or rectifies. By far the best product and service by a real pro.

Planning a major project at my new house such as building a professional home theater, was causing so much anxiety and stress as everybody would expect from someone who has no knowledge or time to deal with it.
After I met with Mike, he took all the time to explain and plan it the right way with special attention and care to every single detail during the whole process.
We are enjoying every moment of our home theater thanks to Mike and his superb team.
As a side note, they also installed a surveillance system at my house which works perfectly fine.
