Toronto Home Theater

Before writing this review, I thought about what I wanted to say about my specific experience with Mike and Toronto Home Theatre. I thought about going into a lengthy and descriptive narrative of my interactions, but I decided to try and keep it to the point. The reason being is because Mike, as a person and as a professional, is really looking out for his customer’s best interest. Mike is a very practical person and really wants to apply that to his customers by providing the best value for your dollar. In this day and age, it’s hard to find a contractor who is hard-working, honest, takes pride in their craft, is accommodating, and isn’t looking to take advantage of people. Mike is extremely knowledgeable of his products and technologies as well as what is currently out the marketplace. Mike is responsive (almost instantaneously sometimes) and there is never an issue getting a hold of him. Mike and his team installed my basement home theatre and I am definitely not disappointed by any stretch of the imagination. I’m still trying to figure out all the settings and functions, but I know that if I run into any road blocks or have any questions or concerns, Mike will be there to answer them with no hesitation.

Mike installed the theatre system at the Seniors home I work for. Whenever there is a problem he is always available, and is able to come in the next day. We are very satisfied with his product and service!

I'd written a very positive review for Mike and THT when our system was originally designed and installed. I'm writing this one because it is now a few years later, and whatever hiccups have happened along the way (most recently, we changed from Rogers to Bell), Mike and his team have always treated us like we're top priority.

Mike and Toronto Home Theatre were a welcome relief after the Crestron home system we had installed by another company a few years earlier stopped working (and actually never worked right to begin with).

Mike came in and cleaned up that mess, literally cable by cable to get an understanding of how the entire house was wired. Mike put together a proposal to meet all the needs I was looking to have met, and when it came in over my budget, Mike was able to prioritize my needs and retool his approach so I had essentially what I needed for the budget I had allocated.

Since then, whenever I have a question about the system I can just email Mike and he’s able to give me a clear simple answer, or schedule a visit to drop by and adjust or update as required, without ever trying to upsell me. In my experience people like Mike in this part of the business are few and far between. Highly recommend!

Mike and his team lived up to their excellent reviews on HomeStars when they mounted our new TV and installed a Sonos system. They were very knowledgeable, reliable, and a delight to work with. Mike and his team at Toronto Home Theatre were a pleasure to work with. We had purchased a home that had some built in speakers and wiring but no means to use them. Mike offered many good solutions and we felt no pressure to be "upsold" to more expensive technology. All of his solutions were scalable and we were given the option to do some of the installation now and then expand on the installation later. Mike was able to suggest a user friendly option for music in four zones in the house and a surround sound home theater solution for our media room. We had received another quote that was almost double and with less user friendly technology. Mike was readily available by phone, text, or email and he arrived on time and on the promised date. The installation was very clean and the walls were patched to perfection. He was able to deliver all that was promised at a price that was actually less than the initial quote. We have already added onto the system and Mike was able to accommodate our schedule and drop in to complete the additional speaker and Blue Ray installation. I would highly recommend Mike and his team for any home theatre or media needs.

During the stress of a full home renovation we talked with Mike and discussed the principles of what we were looking for. He asked us some tough questions for clarification and provided some suggestions that we hadn't considered. The sound system was the only part of the entire renovation where someone actually under promised and significantly over delivered. It became clear to me that Mike was not looking to ring up a bill at the expense of our limited knowledge but rather deliver something that matched the specs (and therefore the costs) to our needs. Any issues or challenges since the installation have been handled promptly and to our full satisfaction. I have recommended Mike to several friends.

Mike expertly diagnosed my problem during our initial conversation. He came to my home, arrived on time, quickly reviewed my equipment and suggested a couple of alternative solutions. Mike emphasized VALUE over PRICE in his solutions. He and his team were very thorough, offered suggestions on how to configure my existing equipment and took the time to make these changes so that I would enjoy the full potential of my system. Mike and his team are consummate professionals. They do the job right, for a fair price, and in a reasonable timeframe. I cannot emphasize enough how knowledgeable the team is, and how happy we are with the quality of their work - full end to end solutions. Mike never goes for the upsell opportunity. He worked with us to determined the best solutions possible - while doing his best to keep costs down. Very honest guys.
