My mother-in-law gave us seven century old chairs and a wonderful old pedestal table (solid top and veneer on the sides and pedestal)all of which were sorely in need of restoration and refinishing. In addition, we had an eight year old recliner that needed new springs and reupholstering.

Jeff Linder and his team impressed me immediately with their knowledge,passion and customer service. Jeff clearly knows his stuff and obviously cares very much about wood. I was so impressed with Jeff that I didn't bother to even speak to anyone else.

Our goal was to get the project completed and the furniture delivered before my in-laws came to visit. My furniture was picked-up and delivered on time and as promised. Jeff gave me updates on progress along the way and helped us to choose the perfect finish - even though we kept him waiting long after closing time. The chairs were repaired and the old veneer was patched. The recliner is no longer held together with a bungie cord but is better than new.

Wood Specialties did a wonderful job! The table and chairs look so good that my in-laws were amazed.

I had an antique treadle sewing machine cabinet covered in scratches, watermarks and rust. Jeff worked his magic and brought it back to life. I'm sure it looks better now than it did when it was brand new. The stain colour he recommended brings out the beauty of the wood. Another fantastic job!!

Don't even bother looking elsewhere.

I had three items of furniture that required some repair/restoration. After describing them to Jeff, he provided an estimate and I brought them in. One was a drawer from a dresser (ca 1870) that required a new wood knob. Jeff did a marvelous job turning up a new one on the lathe even though he could not remove the existing one to do an exact match. One other piece was a small sideboard that had a partially split top. After suggesting that they would simply split it all the way and then repair it, they turned out replacing it completely. The match with the rest of the sideboard was amazing. They also replaced an interior shelf that was quite flimsy. The final piece was a marble plant stand that was completely restored.
All in all the work was indicative of expert craftmanship and was of excellent quality. I would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks Jeff!

Jeff did an amazing job of refinishing our furniture - dining table, chairs and coffee table, and dresser. He is extremely professional - his customer service was fabulous, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results! We would recommend Jeff to anybody without a doubt!

After an 'act of nature' damaged the corner of a drawer we had just bought I was devastated. I thought the furniture was good for the garbage.

I found Jeff on this site and called him immediately based on the reviews and his location. He was friendly and easy to talk to. We brought him the drawer and he fixed it within a couple days so well that you'd NEVER know there was ever any serious damage! His price was definitely fair and worth every cent.

I'm now seeking other projects to hire him for in the future.

Jeff did an exceptional job of repairing our dining room table. The project from pick up to drop off was very well executed and I would happily recommend Jeff's services in terms of pricing, quality and puntuality.

My chair and cedar chest had both belonged to my grandmother. The 60+ year old chair had been stuffed with straw as the cushion. Jeff redid the chair with foam cushion and new fabric. It looks fabulous and is more comfortable than ever to sit in.
My cedar chest was over 70 years old. It had a large water mark on the lid and the corners had been severely chewed by my dog when she was a puppy. Jeff was able to repair the damage flawlessly. The stain colour he recommended brings out the natural grain of the wood better than the original. It is absolutely gorgeous, now.

Hope Chest:

We painted this chest yellow about 38 years ago and we asked Jeff to repair and refinish my mother's 75 year old cedar chest to its orignal state, I was very pleased. The wood looks beautiful and the chest is now truly a valuable and functional heirloom that will remain in my family for many years to come. Excellent work.
