We contacted A. Stubbs to repair and reinforce a wall of our garage. Fearing the worst case scenario, we were instantly put at ease when Mr. Stubbs evaluated the situation and assured us it could be done at a reasonable price and within a reasonable time frame. It was obvious from our initial meeting that he and his team were very knowledgeable and experienced. Throughout our time working with him and his team, we were always met with kindness, and any concerns that we had were met with an optimistic commitment to find the best solution and ensure we were happy with the end results. In the end, we were very satisfied with not only a garage that is solid and will stand the test of time, but one that is also aesthetically pleasing. We would recommend A. After getting a few quotes, I called Mr Stubbs back the following week because he had the most reasonable estimate, and gave good sound advice about what type of pathway we should use. I left a message with his office, and he dropped by later that morning to talk to us again about the work, noting that his crew could come the very next day! All told, his crew worked tirelessly in the extreme heat to remove the old concrete, leveled the path and returned the next day to pour the concrete. They've done a very solid job - most reliable!

I had A Stubbs do a repair of a collapsed column over a porch and rebuild the front stairs of a house. The collapsed column was considered wear and tear by my insurance company and the insurance company had given me two options for repair. One that was likely good for a decade and the other more permanent. A Stubbs came up with a competitive quote so I went with his team which did extra little jobs at the house without extra charge. A concrete step was made for the basement entrance and several other details were noted and attended to. I was so happy with their work. His team then built wooden stairs and replaced a sinking concrete set of stairs. Then I asked if the company did any interior work as I needed my house painted to sell in the April 2020 market. I was surprised that his excellent team was available to paint my rooms within days. They did a beautiful paint job for $3,000 and I sold my house in 10 days during the isolation period of April. Great work!

We hired Stubbs Contracting to replace our backyard fence, repair our garage and repair our front veranda. They listened to our concerns and did a terrific job that was timely and affordable. We would hire them again anytime.

I found the A.Stubbs quote to be reasonable if not the lowest. I hired them to do couple of small jobs, fixing a leaky skylight, installing flashing on front porch roof and doing some repair on the woodwork, Mr. Stubbs also offered to do some chimney repair. The main job was painting the entire front of the house including the front porch. Mr.Stubbs was always easy to get in touch with and he and the team were very easy and pleasant to work with. All the jobs were completed very quickly and professionally. My only disappointment was that they used semi-gloss paint as opposed to the flat finish I asked for on couple of occasions, and left quite a few white paint splatters on the unpainted, front wooden steps, which I am still trying to figure out how to remove. All in all I was satisfied with the job and would hire the A. Stubbs team again.

We hired A. Stubbs to remove and build a new porch. The existing porch was sagging and the brick work on our 100 year old home needed repointing/parging in order to provide a solid base to construct the new porch. A. Stubbs' completed the project on-time and within the quoted price. Quality of workmanship is very good (cuts, fit and finish, trim…etc). A.
