Cale did such an excellent job with our ground floor powder room, we decided to ask him to demo our basement in order to insulate and soundproof. Trust, quality of work and price were all factors in deciding to go ahead with Cale. We knew he would do an excellent job and for an affordable price. Cale was very sensitive to our bugetary concerns as it seemed like the more we got to know our new house, the more we had to do in order to make it liveable. In the end, Cale did not disappoint. He did a fantastic job and in a short period of time. Cale also did an excellent job handling the unforseen issues he found when he demo'd the wallls and ceiling. His knowledge and expertise was so critical as it calmed us as first time homeowners. We would definitely reccommend him for any project - big or small. Brilliant work.

We called Cale in order to build us a new powder room on our ground floor when we bought our new house. He was A+ from day 1. He always took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. He also made sure that we understood what he was doing and why he was doing it. His attention to detail was almost to a fault. The end result was a fantasitc powder room. Did we mention that he had an extremely small space to work with? He managed to overcome all the obstacles that came his way to give us a new powder room in a timely manner. I recently had some work done and i'm walking away very happy. Cale is very reliable and has a very professional approach. Everything was done in a timely manner, and any concerns i may of had were addressed accordingly. I hired Cale Duguay to do some work in my attic and I’m very satisfied with the results. Cale and his assistant are both friendly, reliable, and professional. Cale provided me with a detailed estimate before beginning the work and there were no changes or additional costs. The work was done well and on schedule. In any job, especially in an old house, unexpected things are uncovered. I came to appreciate Cale’s calm problem-solving approach. “Well, we’ve got a situation”. He explains things clearly and patiently. Cale can handle anything that comes up, either himself or by contacting the right people. Cale and his helper took good care of the furniture and household effects and cleaned up well before leaving. Most of the work was in the attic but the visible parts on the ceiling (finishing, painting, etc.) look really good. I would hire Cale again to work on other projects at my house. In fact, part way through my job, a neighbour got Cale to do the same attic framing and insulation work at her house. I am very comfortable recommending Cale Duguay.

I found Cale online and got in touch with him to do some bathroom repair work. He did a quality job and so I brought him back to do a ceiling installation as well. He does quality work and is very trustworthy. I would definitely bring him back for future projects.

My first experience with Cale was when I discovered a leak in my roof which caused some significant damage inside the house. His first thought was to get the leak fixed (as it was raining that day). He already had another commitment for the day but came back after hours to fix the leak. He then fixed the damage inside the house. This was done in less than 2 days. Not only was he the only person who responded so quickly but it turned out he was the most cost effective too!

Since then - he is my contractor of choice. He has done a complete renovation of my kitchen. He managed the project start to finish; from laying new floors, removing walls, installing new counters, installation of appliances to electrical work and plumbing. He has also installed new flooring throughout the house, completed a bathroom upgrade, replaced doors, windows and built a new deck.

I would highly recommend Cale. Not only does he do great work, he is fair and decent.

We used Cale and his company to do some upgrades for a rental property we have in Parkdale. They did everything - installed a new countertop, floor and backsplash in the kitchen, fixed some water issues in the bathroom shower stall, fixed the crumbling stairs at the front entrance outside and hauled away all the junk left by the prior tenant in the basement.
We found Cale extremely approachable and professional. He gave us some good suggestions of materials etc to consider since this is a rental property.
We were very pleased with the final results and the new tenants were very happy as well.
We have also used Cale at our house for a small project and will definitely call him when we have another project at either property.
I think the thing we liked most about Cale is he doesn't leave you in the dark as to the status of your project. He actually communicates with his customer. Very refreshing. Call him, you will be happy that you did.

We live in an 80+ year old home and last year we had some water issues in one part of our basement. I am not a handy perso by any stretch of the imagination so as I started to talk to folks and thy mentioned things like foundation damage etc. I got really worried. I called Cale for an opinion I could trust. He did not jump to conclusions, spent his time testing a few theories and checking every possibility. When he came back with his recommendation he had two options. Both would solve the problem. One option was truly just a solve and the most ost effective way to do it. \the second option had somevery well thought out and aesthetically pleasing aspects that took the solution to a new level. We chose to go the simpler route and Cale did the work quickly and with great results. One of the other important things that I admire about the way Cale consucts his business is that he is very consious of how he worksite looks. No one likes to put their neighbours out anymore than they have to and Cale understands this. At the end of every day he cleaned up the site and made sure that there was no mess and that th area was safe enough to leave. This was truly an added bonus as I live in a busy neighborhood with lots of kids. I would highly recomend Cale to anyone who needs any type of work done on their house or property.

Cale was helpful from quoting to job completion. This job included fence/retaining wall repairs and two small decks (including one on a flat roof, with railing). At the time of quoting, he fully explained how he would proceed on the job (techniques, materials, timing) and he did exactly as quoted. When a change was required, he discussed with me and was very easy-going about it. His finishing was great, and he left the site very clean and tidy. I would recommend him!

Cale had been very professional from the quoting to the delivery.
I never understood how many sites Dugay's work was working on as they seems to juggle between 1-2 more jobs. This said the leveling of my floor and renovation of the diving/living was well done.
The team was friendly and capable and had been giving good advices to go around last minute modifications and around unexpected situation.
