Getting the quote from this company was easy. Ron came out to the house and was timely and organized.
However, we specifically asked if the work could be done before our move in date. It was a deal breaker for us that the closet installation be in place before moving day. We wouldn't have worked with them if they weren't able to meet our deadline.
Our install date was scheduled for a Friday. I called Tuesday to confirm the date. Yes- confirmed. I called Thursday morning to confirm. Yes - confirmed.
I received a call Thursday afternoon (literally three hours after my second confirmation call - I've been burnt by so many contractors now I know to call and confirm) saying that they wouldn't be coming on Friday.
They said it was due to improper delivery (or poor quality of delivery materials) and that they couldn't get it done before Saturday (our moving date).
I spent time on the phone with the secretary and then one of the owners. I'll give him credit - he spent a lot of time speaking to me about the issue. What upset me was that he kept blaming his supplier... and I kept reminding him that I was his customer, and he was the customer of the supplier. It matters to me that contractors take responsibility for their company. I'm not hiring the supplier; I'm hiring you.
Ultimately the owner sent his guys to install the closet on our moving day. Luckily they were almost done the install by the time we arrived at our new house with all of our stuff. That being said, emphasizing that he was paying his guys extra for working on a Saturday just to get our job done seemed a bit silly to me. That isn't my business as the customer. That is the cost of him doing his business and he should direct his agitation at his supplier for this extra cost.
They weren't able to finish the install (two drawers were missing); but they did come back and get this done within the week. I do like the finished product.
I'd recommend them. That being said, you may want to call and confirm at least three times.
