Reliable Home Comfort

I was in the market for a high efficiency furnance, air conditioner and tankless hot water to take advantage of all the government rebates currently available. I contacted 3 contractors all on Homestars with good ratings. One never called back, one came and gave me a quote for a cadillac system that was very expensive, and then I called Dave at Reliable Home Comfort. Dave's team did a really good job for the reasons below
FLEXIBLE: Dave was willing to fit into my schedule and came on a Friday evening to give me a quote and spent 2 hours with me going through all the details for the install, leaving at 9pm!
HONEST: Dave just sold me what I needed and answered all my very specific questions about the install. In the end, we went with the Goodman furnace with humidifer and filter and A/C and a Navien tankless.
HIGH QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP AND PROFESSIONALISM: Dave's team was punctual- they said they would arrive at 8am and arrived at exactly that time. In terms of the work, my basement is fully finished with a drywalled ceiling and bulkheads hiding the gas and water pipes, so Dave's team installed all the new equipment using the existing bulkheads etc to hide all the addiitonal pipes and venting. Finally, due to the location of the furnance in the house, the venting and air conditioner had to be placed at the front of the house, but Dave's team located these items in a very discreet way.

So bottom line is I would recommend Dave for a furnace, air conditioner and tankless installation.

My ac was not working, needed fast repair. Fast response and repair within a couple of hours. Price was very good and very satisfied with the work done. Would not hesitate to hire them again.

Andrew and Liviu did the install. Both really nice guys and they knew their stuff explaining what they were doing as they were doing it.
Dave (the owner) arrived a little later to make sure all was going well.
Furnace is installed and works perfectly.

I contacted Dave and within 5 minutes he returned my phone call. He was extremely professional and made every effort to come diagnose the problem with my in-law's air conditioner. Once there, his helper was able to get into a very difficult space in order to see what was wrong. Witin a few minutes they resolved the problem. The system is working like new. They were professional and very knowlegeable. I will definately recommend the company to anyone who requires service on an AC.

We were very impressed with Dave and his guys. Dave spent nearly an hour with us when on our initial consult. He went into detail about the different products available and which would suit our needs the best. Boy, does he know his furnaces! Not only was he one of the most competitive quotes we got, but he spent way more time and effort making sure we knew what we were getting.
On the day of the installation the guys were on time and very efficient. They made sure our carpets were protected and that we understood how the system worked. The guys relocated the AC unit for us and even fixed a broken water valve (unrelated to the job) at no extra cost. Although Dave didn't do the installation himself, he stopped by mid day and again at the end to answer any questions and make sure we were satisfied.
We are very happy with the finished job and are impressed it comes with a 10 yr parts and labour warranty.

We needed a gas connection installed for our new BBQ. Based on the amazing reviews, we selected Reliable Home Comfort. Although initially it was difficult to schedule a date to get them out to our place (they are very busy), when we were able to work out a date, it was a job well done. The crew were quick and cleaned up after themselves when the job was finished. The price was fair. After they left, the BBQ did not work well so we called Dave and he came out with his crew over the long weekend, took the time to explain the codes to us and when we insisted that we were not happy with the performance of our BBQ, he offered to redo the entire job using a larger diameter pipe, which they did. But as it turned out, our new BBQ is defective. Many thanks to Dave and his team for going above and beyond the call to make sure that we were satisfied customers.

I would like to applaud the owner of Reliable Home comfort, Dave Chaddock, on what, simply put, was a great job!

To begin with he did not launch into any high pressure sales pitch, he explained all the advantages and disadvantages of mid and high efficiency furnaces and allowed us to make our choice. He explained everything about rebates and furnace choices, and gave us a very good price on a Goodman furnace and A/C and the best advice on the hot water tank.

To accommodate my schedule they came on Saturday and got to work immediately. Dave took me to Home Depot to buy my hot water tank (note: no $$ uplift on one supplied by him) - the GE ones are made by Bradford and White and are known for their reliability. Direct Energy will charge you $75 to remove your old tank, so Dave does it for nothing AND returns it to them so there is no charge to you - I think we have all had enough of this government-sanctioned robbery!

Dave, Andrew and Livio were very efficient and had everything done exactly as promised by 9PM. They actually came back the next day to remedy the position of the A/C unit outside. He also did some duct work to replace what was there already because he thought it was "messy".

Dave has a great team they finished the job better than I expected. When they left they took all of the old equipment, and left the basement spotless. Dave walked me through the work they had done, explained all the paperwork, completed the OPA forms, and then I gave him the cheque. Reliable never expect you to pay a penny until the work is completed to your satisfaction. Of course it still hurts – but with all the rebates it is possible to come away with a new furnace and a/c for well under $4k which is a good deal when you consider it is constantly used and has a warranty for 10 years parts and labour and Dave even promises to come back and service it free once a year.

I would absolutely recommend Dave and Reliable Home Comfort for all your HVAC requirements. I now have another name to add to my list of contractors that I can absolutely trust....and get hold of when I need! Dave ALWAY, ALWAYS answers his phone when you call.... that is a level of customer service that I had forgotten existed!

Had to replace an old worn out air conditioner and called several companies to give me some quotes. Dave was right in the middle of the pack in terms of price, but I think what swayed me was his professionalism and straight forward advice. We talked about the various options and he told me the honest answers.

I am very happy with the product and with the company overall. While there were a few hiccups from the installation, Dave and his workers came over, and made sure that everything was fixed right. The only thing that I would have to say is that due to the small size of the company, Dave can be very busy. But then again, given that this is summer and the height of his busy season, this should be expected.

I just purchased a house in late 08 and because it is an older house it has been retrofitted with duct work and a furnace. Before purchasing the house I met with Dave and one of his men to check out the house and the job that the installer did 10 years ago, of course he was very honest and told me the bad and ugly but not to worry it was worth the purchase. We knew that we needed a new furnace and it had no a/c installed at all. So on July 1st of all holidays Dave and his men came out to my house and started there job. Cant express my thanks enough and the great job they did, due to the closeness of our houses they had to make the run longer but did it in such a nice neat manner. They left no mess and completed the job in a timely manner. I would recommend Reliable Home Comfort to anyone for they are great guys and do excellent work.
