Initial consultation was quickly followed up by an in-person presentation of a number of recommended colour palettes for both projects. Palates encompassed a broad range of looks, from traditional to very contemporary, cutting edge. All of them tempered by our personal likes and dislikes. These combinations were explained in detail, using photographs or a walk around the property to help point out nuances and conjure up the overall impression we would expect to achieve. The initial choices were thereby narrowed down and decisions made with growing sense of confidence. Once we landed on the the look, Rosemary presented us with a highly detailed project guide - including chips, finishes, and so on, for the painting contractor; it also included instructions to the contractor to contact her with any questions regarding the choice of stain, oil, latex, etc., prior to purchase. Inevitable, creeping homeowner doubts and double think were handled with grace and palette tweaks were made. In both cases the colour and finish choices were immensely suited to the architectural detail. Guests feel cozy inside. Neighbours, strangers, and the guy who built the porch love it. (Even the painters had a good time.) Rosemary is a mature, confident, and professional consultant who will help expand your horizons, capture your vision, and get the job done better. Give her a call.
