Zancor Homes

This is our second Zancor Homes purchase within 4 years. The first home we moved into was built really well. We love our house and the new floor plan. There are a few issues to look out for in this subdivision.

Upgraded tiles, but they did not install a subfloor to match the tiles chosen. Now we have trim that is installed between the laminate and tiles with a dip. I wish there was an option at the design centre to address this issue.

My backyard grass is totally shot. Not from homeowner neglect but from the time zancor installed the grass. Who installs grass in july when temperatures are above 28-32 degrees. There is no amount of water that can save the grass at that point. I have my water bill to prove that it was watered. Watering was done at 7am in the morning.

Now the upgraded tiles in the kitchen are becoming loose. The grout which was repaired under warranty is cracking again. Yes the house does settle but does that require me to pull up tiles? Honestly the workmanship is not the greatest in the second purchase.

The Angus south customer service is very quick in responding to emails but after going back and forth for a certain issue, a professional decision is made from pictures that I have taken and sent. Especially when it is a concern that water might be coming in under the slab in the basement and drying up and leaving a stain around a certain area.

The Angus south customer service is excellent. Ron and the team are very polite and professional.

Ron will go out of his way to help us with the minor issues we needed repaired. He made phone calls right on the spot to make sure the problem was resolved immediately . Anytime Ron drives around the neighbourhood, he will make sure to say hi or simply ask if everything is alright. Overall a great person to have on your team.

We still have some small repairs that need to be finished, but we know that Zancor's customer service team is doing their best to get the trades in at a reasonable time.
