In 2003 we were planning to add an addition to a two story house we had recently purchased. The house was originally built in the early 1950s.
We spent some time using a computer program to create our own plans and showed them to Mr. Rubinoff. We received our blueprints in a timely manner and Mr. Rubinoff was friendly and accomodating and also helped us to get our permits quickly. We would have appreciated more suggestions as to some changes that should have been obvious. For example, in our original plans we had a washroom with a door opening out to the kitchen. A contractor friend pointed out to us that wouldn't be very esthetically pleasing. Also, a door leading to the new rec room being created was not in a convenient spot (right by the furnace) and I later had to create an opening where, I believe, any architect would have thought to be much more useful. We basically received our own plans back in larger format.
