Coffee Tables, Reclining Sofas and Love Seat

We purchased these pieces May 15, 2012. Paid $200 for a five year warranty. About August of last year 2015 one of the cables in the Love Seat broke. Spoke with Cindy. She advised us to bring in the broken cable. I removed the cable, brought it to Go Furniture. Cindy accepted it and told me that she would order the cable and it should be here in one week. I called Cindy several times, after the week was up, but she never returned the calls. Finally, I went to Go Furniture and they reordered the cable. After many phone calls I was advised that the cable was in. I went to pick it up and tried to replace the cable but the housing was the wrong size. I phoned to speak with Cindy again and was told that she no longer worked there as she had left to have baby; and I should speak with "Service".

Service is very difficult to contact, it appears that they only work a limited period of time.

Finally, just before Christmas, 2015 I called and was able to get in touch with service; and the gentleman told me that he would call me back. He did not. I again called several times and was finally told that that service person no longer worked there. I spoke with a gentleman named Tad. He told me that I should not have to run back and forth with this $10 cable, that he would come out and repair the Recliner. He never appeared or returned my phone calls after this one conversation. We called again (twice); and were told that somebody would be calling us.

On February 4, 2016, I called yet again and the person that answered told me that Tad was busy and would call me back. He did not.

Today, February 5, when I was on my way to the store, Tad called me and told me that I gave him the wrong phone number. I told him that I would be at the store in a few minutes. He knew right away who I was when I arrived at the store as he said"Hi, Joe". He was speaking to a customer, so I waited. As the customer was leaving I gave him my business card. Tad wanted to know why I had given the customer my business card. Told him that it was none of his business. He was angry and told me to take my broken cord and leave the store. So I did.

The service at Go Furniture is terrible, the people I have dealt with are extremely rude...after they take your money; and they do not honour their Warranty.

King size bed

Thad the owner of the company, was amazing to deal with! Would highly recommend Furniture Alley in Edmonton just off St Albert Trail! Sindy at the front was so helpful, right to the delivery guys Jay & Glen were all spectacular to deal with!

sofa love seat

i purchaceda sofa and love seat for my 82 yr old mother 3 months ago.2 months after 3 separate areas on this brand new furniture were snapping sitting down on both pieces.called go furniture they promised they would send someone out to look at the problem.they failed to do so all 3 times.contacted cindy apperently the manager,still no success,contacted tad apperently an owner and he told me he would try to get some one in sometime next week.being frustrated on how all of this has being nothing but ignored i suggested to him 2 send someone out to pick up this faulty furniture and replace it with new one.he asked what am i supposed to tell manufacturer.i said that is not my problem,it is faulty furniture after 2 months.he then told me he was going to retract sending anyone out.i told him i would sue go furniture,he did not care.well tad im not done yet better business bureau and public are going to no how you people are treating my 82 year old mother.shame on go furniture.i will do a bit of free advertising for you.hope you sleep well.wayne collins

NEVER AGAIN

Will never never purchase anything from Furniture Alley in Edmonton...We thought we had found our sectional..perfect for me as I am disabled...we were told by the sales man that there was 1 in the warehouse, the warehouse manager has put your name on it and all we need is 24hrs notice for delivery. We paid CASH, got a receipt and were on our way.. Needless to say 3 days before we moved I ohoned to arrange delievery (That we paid for) No problem Mrs Strongman we will have your couch delivered on June 29th No problems good -bye -( they did not get a delivery addresses).

Get a phone call the next day saying our couches are not in stock and I must wait or exchange for a different sectional..I went in and did not like the look of the new sectional...I want that one I paid for. THAD talked me into getting a loaner set until my set is available for delivery, gave me 5 year warrenty and $100.00 off.

Loaner couches were delivered as promised...but OMG these are the most uncomfortable couches I have ever owned. Phone Thad and explained to him that due to my disability I cannot have hard uncomfortable couches....and all he said was "Then come and get your money back" and hung up :(

Will continue my story tomorrow after I go to Furniture Alley lol

Mattress set

I went and tested a few beds goldilocks style, found the one just right for me. I was NOT delivered within the 24 hours, and they barely sqeaked in under 48 hours. the bed delivered looked much like the floor model but later when I lay down on it it was extremely hard. almost no pillow top on it, Unbearable to sleep on. I phoned and phoned and phoned, to no avail. I went in and saw the floor model had tons more cusion on it/ they agreed to trade me for the appropriate one but they dont have any delivery on weekends so I have to carry down stairs and load into my truck by myself. who knows if they will keep their word

Sofa, love seat and chair

Horrible experience-- We purchased a sofa set April 6th 2012 and paid for it in full. The sales man (Blair) was nice at the time and we were happy with the product. He delivered the product on time but when we opened the packaging we discovered it was the wrong colour. We ordered black and were delivered brown. Blair said we could keep the set as a loaner and they would deliver our black set end of month. May comes and there is no sign of Blair, he ignores our phones calls and never returned them. Finally got a hold of him and he said we was to check with the manufacture and advise. Again no news. Called him again and was told he would deliver either on May 16, 17 or 18. Nothing happened. My husband finally got fed up and called him demanding for a refund he said "we do not refund". We argued he did not deliver the product we wanted and demanded a refund--- two days later he delivered our black set. We are not satisfied with the product at all. The set is crap and already sinking. Disgusting services-- he is just out to make money and that's pretty much it. For one’s own sanity please do not buy anything from Furniture Alley.

buying a couch set

I had problem with the love seat and couch at first ,they exchanged it but we got another set and had simular problem. Where it was sitting in the box it rubed through the material. I guess i phoned enough because they let us exchange the whole set again. After I told him the arm was loose and I felt it was going to fall off,they took it back to the store and phoned me and said it was all in my head , in so may words. I feel the this company think we are stuped. That is how we feel. When you buy something new you expect better custumer care. I know we will never go back.
