Much promise, results in frustrating experience
This store was recommended from a family friend, so my wife and I were excited when we ordered a new bed and couch. The staff at the store were easy to deal with and willing to make custom adjustments. We were happy, at first.
Our experience soon became quite disappointing and frustrating. Firstly, communication with clients is certainly not a priority. We had to call a few times to find out realistic timelines for delivery. Then, when the first delivery arrived, the bed had a broken drawer, was the wrong size, wrong colour and the couch wasn't even on the truck. We got in touch with them in the morning, and were told all would be fixed. A few weeks later, after we called a few times and even visited the store to confirm bed colour, the delivery arrived - though we had to push again because they kept delaying the date. Thankfully the couch arrived this time and we are happy with it. The bed came too, though it is still the wrong colour.
On the surface Designer Furniture seems like a quality place, and we're willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that this was merely one bad experience. Though, they took very little responsibility for their errors and totally failed at communicating with us throughout the process. We had to initiate everything. Their delivery logistics seem chaotic.
Simple communication could solve a lot of the problems and taking responsibility for mistakes helps too. My wife and I will certainly not be using this store again, but perhaps you're experience will be better.
