I selected affordable insulation based on the posted positive reviews. Jason with prompt in returning my call and courteous upon arrival for my consultation. He was thorough in his explanation and provided several options for service. On my appointment day, the work was completed thoroughly and quietly! Everything was cleaned up nicely upon completion. Jason and Sid definetly went above and beyond in ensuring my attic was taken care of. I highly recommend Affordable Insulation!

The reviews I had read on Homestars seemed to good to be true, but after our own experience with Affordable Insulation, we are more than happy to add our own feedback.

Having wildlife living on one's property is never a good feeling, but thankfully, we had the benefit of qualified professionals who took our need for proper insulation to heart, and worked on our home as though it were theirs. Jason arrived early for our consultation and educated us on the very detailed approach they would be taking in blocking unnecessary air-holes, installing / replacing baffles, and replacing the insulation to current code - with a 10-year guarantee against settling!

We were kept up to date during the whole exercise. On the day of the project, we were given timely updates and opportunities to review the work-in-progress. Jason, Syd, and Chris are truly respectful, polite, honest professionals. We thank you for the absolutely wonderful and amazing job you did in resolving our insulation issue. Although we have had unseasonably hot and cold weather since then, we have had no need to turn our heat or AC on - not once! For the first time in all the years since we've lived here, we are seeing the upper level temperatures as warm as, or as cool as the lower levels! It's still early, but as far as we can see, we have no more need for multiple fans in Summer or additional heating sources in the Winter months. That is simply fantastic!! Our closet is no longer the coldest room in the house, thanks to Syd's repairing (rebuilding!!) our trap door insulation, adding enough insulation to last us the next 15 or so years. (Thanks, Syd!)

The icing on the cake for me came on the day of the project. To help keep our floors clean, the gentlemen used strategically placed drop cloths, and also carried their shoes in their hands and only put them on to go up and down the ladder to the attic. After all the work was done and I went to clean-up, I had the surprise of my life ... our closet was spotless! All exposed surfaces had been dusted clean and the bedroom carpet had been vacuumed!

The price quoted was reflective of the level of care and attention to detail that went into this project. The work was very, very professionally done! On top of all you did, you gave us so much invaluable information. We cannot pay you for the tips and education around preventing heat-loss and animal re-entry. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The little things matter much: like checking in with the neighbours to apologize for unavoidably blocking a part of their driveway, or being patient in explaining the process in non-technical language...Thanks again, Jason, Syd and Chris. N.B. We found Affordable Insulation on Homestars after seeking help to replace our wildlife-damaged insulation. After hearing the nature of the damage, Jason at Affordable Insulation provided us with a link to Puroclean Emergency Services to have the insulation removed and the area disinfected.

We were very impressed with the level of service and professionalism demonstrated by this company. As mentioned in other reviews they showed an unexpected level of care and concern for existing conditions in the attic and roof. This information enabled me to contact my roofer and discuss the steps to correct the problem. Jason took the time to explain the entire insulating process. He supplied before and after pictures to show the work completed in the attic... very helpful! All the work was completed with attention to detail including the final clean up. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family.

We were referred to Affordable Insulation by Andre of Oakville Windows and Doors during a discussion about energy efficiency in homes without regard to his own business. We contacted Jason who quickly called back and we made arrangements for him to come over for an inspection and quote. During the inspection, Jason was more than happy to take some pictures for us to show us what we had above. He was very thorough in his explanation of insulation and how it affects the energy efficiency of our home. He was extremely knowledgeable and never pushy. We were looking for someone that not only could provide a reasonable quote, but more importantly, provide a quality job. We decided to go ahead with Affordable Insulation based on the referral from Andre and our conversation with Jason. We felt that if another contractor is willing to put his reputation on the line (and we had not yet purchased anything from Andre), then that was a good sign. They came as promised per our installation date. Although there was a bit of a delay for their arrival, Jason called us ahead of time to let us know of that fact. There was no need for us to chase them. When they arrived, Syd and Rod came in to perform the installation. They are highly competent and extremely careful of their surroundings. They are both completely professional and a joy to work with. They took their time to ensure the job was done right. Rod took some additional photos for us once he was fully in the attic. When they were completed, they made sure that we saw the results. You can see that they take pride in their workmanship and that comes out when they see their clients see the completed job. When they were finished, they cleaned up after themselves with no mess left behind

We waited for a while to post a review to see the difference pre and post insulation. The difference is amazing. Our front and rear rooms were usually cold and the furnace would cycle quite often. There was a noticeable temperature difference between our main floor and upstairs. After, the rooms are no longer cold. I was able to lower our thermostat 1 degree and the furnace does not cycle as often. The weather has recently turned hot on a few days where we turned on the a/c. The a/c also does not cycle as often. There is always a bit of skeptism whether you'll truly save on your energy bills but just these few facts makes me believe we made the right choice.

We purchased a newly renovated home and needed insulation. Jason, the general manager of the company was prompt and courteous. He answered all our questions and provided an excellent price. The business is family owned and operated. His staff (family members), were very respectful and treated my home with care and attention as if it were their own home. They took the time to asses my roof and were able to "go that extra mile" and explain some minor issues that had transpired when the previous owner put on the new roof of my house. In fact, with no extra charge, they were able to mitigate these minor issues with my roof to ensure added value from the insulation upgrade to my home.
