I found this company on Homestars. From the minute Jason came to my home to give an estimate, there was a professional, knowledgeable feel to the interaction. He knew his stuff exceptionally well. There were samples of insulation types, a binder with photos and information for us to look at, and we felt that we were being treated very well. When the work crew arrived, the job proved a little more involved than it had seemed at first, but there was no problem, and they arrived on time, when expected, and conducted themselves in a professional manner, demonstrating great care and respect for us and our home. Sid and his team were true professionals from start to finish.
At the initial free estimate visit, they inspected my attic fully and took the time to educate me and answer all my questions (some companies don't even look at your attic before the install).
During the actual visit, they spent along time preparing for the insulation (some companies just whip out the hose).
So some other companies may give you a lower price, but you get what you pay for.As for me, I just want it done right the first time.
Sid and his team did extra work for me as well.They rerouted my bathroom vent to the outside and insulated it (this was done incorrectly previously- leading to condensation problems in my bathroom)as well as doing some drywall repair due to the condensation problem. These were all done well.Sid also advised me to get rid of the one remaining knob and tube wire in the attic which would be a fire hazard.
So as you can see, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Affordable Insulation.

The gentlemen at affordable insulation did exactly what they promised they would do when they did the initial check on the requirements of my home. The installers were punctual and respectful of my wants and needs. They inspected my attic thoroughly for any frayed wiring and any vent stack leaks and sealed as required, all soffit vents were check for proper circulation and cleared where needed, all rafter mates inspected and installed where needed, the access door was re-insulated from its original state to meet the new higher r-62 rating value and i definitely had 22" of insulation installed in my attic as promised. I can positively say that the men at this company take their trade seriously and they raise the bar for all other insulation companies or contractors. To do the job right you must take pride in what you do, you must take the time to do it right. These guys were in my home 5-6 hours to properly finish the job and it was left clean unlike other companies quoting me 1-1.5 hours to do the job and they did not do any pre-inspections or sealing of vent stacks or all the other extras ...Thank you for the peace of mind and a job so well done, my expectations from any contractor from now on will be as demanding as you guys are of your own expectations!
