Prentice Plumbing & Heating

Wanted almost twice as much to do the work as other qualified company. Expensive, poor quality work, didn't have tools to do proper inspection, had to come back for more money, extra charge for nothing. Invoicing issues. Cancelled job & got better company.
Run away, don't walk !!!

I've used this company several times at my home and cottage and Mark and his guys have always been very quick to help out, professional in their workmanship and fairly priced. Would highly recommend this company.

Prentice plumbing did an amazing job in our bathroom renovation. Their staff worked quickly and the workplace was kept very clean. The end result was perfection. If I had any questions at all Mark or his guys were very available to answer me.

When our A/C unit went Prentice Plumbing was very prompt to get it replaced as soon as they could.

We received the same prompt service when we had problems with our septic system.

Dealing with Prentice Plumbing (the owner) has been a very frustrating experience, to say the least. Despite the fact that their estimate was 30% higher than the competition, we were confident that they would provide a better service...a confidence that turned out to be a nightmare.
Our calls to Mark were never returned, promised emails were never received, and despite having made full payment, we are still waiting for a week for the final invoice that was promised. The work started out fine, but was rushed and shoddy near the end, an assessment that Mark agreed with, such as:

- The cold tubing line going to the shower had three colors, blue, clear and red
- The hot tubing line going to the same shower had two colors, red and clear
- The washing machine didn’t have an outlet box
- The water lines of the washing machine were installed on the studs instead of through the studs
- A leak on the cold line

When I first mentioned the needed corrections to the apprentice on site, his response was that I would be charged extra and to do it myself. The real shocker, however, was receiving a phone call from Mark that contained non-stop foul language and irrational yelling. That depth of unprofessionalism was unexpected and very discouraging. There was never an apology for the lapse of judgment, nor compensation for the inconveniences. Suffice it to say that next time, we will take our chances with one of the less expensive plumbing companies.
