Recently my family and I were required to stay at a local hotel while repair work was completed on our house. We selected a 4 star hotel in an effort to turn this inconvenience into a mini getaway. We were dismayed when 2 of us woke up with several bites that became progressively itchier.

I was terrified that we had been exposed to bed bugs during our 2 night stay. Despite the hotel's assurance that their own search turned up no evidence, I contacted Michael based on the excellent reviews posted on this site. He called back very quickly and we arranged a "peace of mind" inspection.

Michael and Radar arrived promptly and I was amazed at the focused approach Radar displayed. Michael was very kind at explaining the process, answering my questions about bed bugs and providing a safe demonstration to prove Radar's keen abilities.

Luckily Radar didn't alert to any activity in our house. However, Michael provided suggestions on how we can remain vigilant and protect ourselves during future travel. He has also made himself available for questions following his visit, which we appreciate.

I'm not really sure what to think about the service I received. I initially called Mike because I'd been getting a couple of bites every night and thought better safe than sorry. I was impressed by the reputation of the k9 units and of Mike himself so I booked an appointment.

The day of said appointment he unfortunately had an emergency call out to a hospital and understandably would be late, but said he should be there in a few hours. An hour later a colleague of his showed up and he and a dog inspected the house.

His colleague stated that the dog was very excitable around people so I stayed in the bathroom while he inspected around. 10 minutes later he finished and said the dog had tagged two areas.

Though he couldn't visually confirm anything he recommended I get two rooms with tagged items treated which I did.

I unfortunately didn't find Mike as communicative as most people did- no follow ups or suggestions for treatment or prep.

One of rooms tagged had no indication of bb, so now I'm stuck debating if I should call for a follow-up inspection in a few weeks after the treatment is finished or not.

After finding a series of bites on my arms I went to the internet to look up bed bugs. Everything pointed to my bites being caused by bed bugs. I had met Michael and his team of dogs on several occasions at a trade show. I never thought I would be calling. Michael did an extensive interview over the phone. He made suggestions that I could implement before using his services just to be sure and to avoid costs. My anxiety and worry were such that I decided I wanted the inspection done regardless. Michael called it a "peace of mind" inspection. He was correct. His dog, Radar is well trained and there is no doubt in my mind that had there been any bed bugs in my home, Radar would have found them. Michael even did a demonstration with his own (safely contained) bed bugs that Radar detected immediately. The cost for my peace of mind is priceless. It was well worth the cost. Michael is very knowledgeable, and had I had a bed bug problem, I would have trusted his recommendations and any referrals he may have made to fix it.

I emailed in the evening requesting an inspection as we thought we might have been exposed to bedbugs. We had people from out of town stay in the house. Shortly after returning to their own home they were dismayed to discover they had a bedbug problem.
Before I went to bed that night I had communicated with Michael and had an appointment booked almost immediately. Michael and Radar arrived on time and did an inspection of the entire home. We were relieved that no bedbugs were found. Michael was a pleasure to deal with. He is very professional, and understands the distress people feel when confronted with this problem. He was helpful and directed me to great resources so I could be proactive and preventative.
Radar is a beautiful dog, and clearly very well trained.
I would absolutely recommend Michael and Radar to anyone and everyone. Money well spent for the peace of mind!

Words cannot express how relieved I was to meet Michael and his dog Radar. I was in a high state of anxiety over fears that my family had been in contact with bed bugs while away on vacation. Michael and Radar met us at home right after we returned from the airport. And this was on a Sunday night in the middle of the winter holiday season! Radar walked through our house and inspected all of our luggage and this was money well spent for the peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend Purity to anyone who is wondering whether they have bed bugs. My daughter had some unexplained bites that appeared two mornings in a row. I called Michael, explained the situation, sent him some pictures of things I'd found in the bedding (which he quickly id-ed seed casings not bugs!) and consulted over the phone at length even before I'd decided to have him come. He encouraged me to check for fleas on our dog first and in no way pressured us by scare tactics to hire him (as another similar company did). He came today with Radar. He was incredibly professional, thorough and responsive to my concerns, having radar go over areas more than once. Even though radar gave no alerts Michael also did a thorough visual check on the mattress and bed frame, showed me online another possible bug culprit and gave me tips for avoiding bed bugs generally. He was great and now I am able to relax in my own home again!

I chose Michael over his competitors in the area because I had read great reviews online and was impressed by the testimonials from previous clients. I was extremely satisfied with his service and would recommend him without hesitation.

I phoned Michael with an urgent request and he offered to come check my apartment the next day. When he arrived, he and the dog were very professional which helped put me at ease. They went through the whole apartment several times over and Michael agreed to have the dog sniff every single bag we had. He even agreed to check my car.

Ultimately, the dog did not alert to anything in the apartment. However, Michael brought a vial of safely contained bugs and did several demonstrations (e.g. placing the vial in a closet, in a storage unit, in a bag, etc.) to demonstrate that the dog would be able to identify any bugs if they were present. This inspired confidence in his methods and process, and assured me that the inspection was well worth the cost.

I cannot say enough about Michael's patience and willingness to go the extra mile to help put me at ease. He delivered an exceptional level of customer service, and this has given me the confidence to feel like our bed bug problem is finally behind us.

I had Michael and Radar inspect my home a couple of weeks ago. They did locate 3 areas where there was no visible evidence of bed bugs, but Radar alerted. Even though it appeared as though the problem was already under control, Michael gave me some good, solid advice on how to deal with the situation . He was very patient with me and answered all of my questions I had at the time and my additional questions later via email.
But, after a couple of weeks I could not stop thinking about the possibility of an infestation as I was still getting bites. Michael and Radar kindly returned for a follow up visit at no charge. Good news, as they found nothing to do with bed bugs on their second visit.
I am very grateful for the piece of mind the inspections have brought me. Michael's professionalism and integrity are top notch. My aging parents live in a semi-detached home and got bed bugs from their attached neighbours. They were horrified and very upset.
