Granite Transformations Ottawa

Stay away from anything related to Granite Transformations the company has closed without telling clients or staff! I only found out when I made a complaint with the BBB yesterday. They said that all calls and emails come back to them undeliverable, the only person they were able to contact was at headquarters in Florida that stated the Ottawa store is closed. A few customers went directly to the store with a note in the door saying they were closed for inventory, that was months ago. The adjoining store is where they store all the materials for the jobs, that is completely empty there is nothing in that store. I've also sent an email to our local CTV news people to see if they will investigate since it effects so many local people. Our backsplash is a mess, our tub the button to push down for a shower hasn't worked since January of this year and I've been fighting them since then.
As of yesterday there are 16 of us that have lodged complaints with the BBB. Please go and read our comments, I tried to call them again this afternoon and the number rings rapid busy signal. The phone number for HQ in Florida doesn't work either it rings and goes to an IT company that you need to put in a password for. They were still taking people's money as of this summer in Ottawa and people are out thousands of dollars!

The work looks beautiful. Just make sure you have LOTS of patience and that your house insurance is paid up. Our small bathroom ensuite (sink and vanity, toilet and shower) took nearly SIX MONTHS from the date we signed the agreement to the completion of the project. We were told it would take three. The weld on the cold water pipe broke the day after we used the shower for the first time. Tens of thousands of dollars in damage throughout the house. No apology from management; they simply wanted the final payment. In fact, they refused to speak with me and had someone else respond to my emails and their accounting staff return my phone calls. To be fair, they did give us a 1.4% discount to close our file. Mistakes happen but good customer relations could have helped smooth the experience. Recommendation: find a different contractor.

We had an estimate done in January for work to be done in the Spring (2016). Custom kitchen counters, new double sink and faucet, one cupboard door and two large drawers. All to be professionally installed.

The hold up was the new cupboard door. It was ordered in the wrong size and we had to chase our contact at the shop. He never returned phone calls we always had to go through our sales rep. to get answers.

In the end we were pleased with the end result but were surprised when reading the maintenance of the counters. "strong enough to drop a bowling ball but no lemon, vinegar or any citrus might damage" and when we questioned the company about this they never responded.

The original plan was to change all the counter tops but with the holidays coming and the cost we settled for the island which we needed to move to begin with. The sales representative was very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of samples. He even showed us some examples he did not think we would consider at all. He was wrong and we are so happy with the selection. We were doing a lot of the work ourselves and asked that they give us some time and they were very accommodating, and when we were ready so were they and the installation went on without a hitch. All and all a very good experience and happy with everything from start to finish.

GT gave us a quote on a kitchen reface. They transformed the kitchen without removing a cabinet and it looks brand new and modernized with all the features of a new kitchen.

We had 2 bathroom counters, both with double sincks that were in desperate need of renovation. Granite Transformations did an excellent job. The new sinks and counters look great. The work was done on time, the workmanship is excellent. The staff who did the measuring and installing were professional and courteous. It's like two new bathroom vanities now.

Wanted a new countertop in the bathroom and got a package deal that had the countertop, sink and taps included. Plus they installed everything (including plumbing hook up). Looks great. It did take some time to install though as they are installing it over the existing countertop.
The time from ordering to installation was quick and they were professional. This is a good option if you don't want the mess and inconvenience of having your old countertops ripped up.
