I'm a first time home owner since June 2015. When I bought the house I was told the hot water tank was a rental. I was never told this meant I was locked in to the previous owners seven year contract. If I want to break the contract I need to pay you 1300 dollars. I have never seen a contract from reliance. I was told over the phone today that by paying the first bill I was agreeing to take over the previous owners contract. I am outraged and disgusted that your company is allowed to do this. The first girl from Reliance I spoke to 2 weeks ago said she would mail me a copy of said contract. I have yet to see any contract from reliance. The guy on the phone today told me that I should have not paid my bill to you and that would have given me a chance to fight it. I will now make sure everyone I know stays clear of renting from reliance.
