We moved into our home end of Jan, 2013, and froze our butts off for the first 30 days. Despite calling Alldritt within 3 days of moving in, no-one inspected the attic to discover why the basement was incredibly hot, the 2nd floor freezing cold. My husband called the company that installed the furnace about installing a better humidifier in the house, I complained to them about the crappy heat. They listened & inspected the house. Turns out we had ZERO insulation in the attic, NONE. Insulation was installed shortly thereafter, but still no inspection from Alldritt to confirm proper installation. We just now had the 3-month inspection - and the insulation is still not what we paid for! When I called to speak with the General Manager for Edmonton, Pat told me we couldn't have suffered that much, that homes used to be build with zero insulation and people survived, that there was no pleasing me as a customer, and told me to call back when I could be more professional in discussing the problem with them, before he hung up on me. Pat also told me that I should speak with the insulation company about this problem, perhaps they would offer some remedy for our troubles. Alldritt offered little compensation for their repeatedly dropping the ball. Pat instructed me to speak with a lawyer if I wanted to pursue the matter further. So, we still don't have our insulation (it's coming, apparently), but have been told to rack up our costs.
Compassion & customer service are NOT priorities with this company, especially when they've dropped the ball on something so significant - apparently customers should just put up and shut up.
Any why we should have to speak with their contractors is beyond me. Talk about passing the buck.
Thanks for nothing, Alldritt. I'll be sure to pass on the word about your service.
