Don’t even consider it!

I ordered two Silestone vanity tops. They took 6+ weeks to come in. After they were installed the issues started piling up. Firstly, they were streaked with something and looked awful. We gave the owner the opportunity to try and clean/fix them. He used 2 toxic substances, one being acetone that he squirted from a Gatorade bottle. This did not work. Second, the measurement for the faucet holes was done before the backsplash was added and when the taps were installed they hit the backsplash when they were turned. We asked that everything be removed and after several days/attempts to make contact this was done. He suggested he take the tops and our Restoration Hardware sinks back to the shop the “safely” remove the sinks...which he then broke and will not pay for. The icing on the cake was when we noticed the acetone he dripped down the side of our brand new oak vanities, which ate the finish off-of course he denies this!
I have NO idea how this unscrupulous company stays in business!
I guess there are few “after sale”complaints selling gravestones!

quartz kitchen counter install

We contracted Regal Granite to install a quartz countertop back in December during one of their sales. We informed them that were still waiting upon the lower cabinets in our kitchen renovation and we wouldn’t be able to install for about 6 weeks. They were fine with our timeline and informed us they had no problem with the delay. We contacted Regal once the cabinets were ready and Paul came out that night for the template. The install was completed a little less than 3 weeks later by Paul and an associate (sorry forgot his name but a nice guy). They were both great and friendly although I felt sorry for them lifting those large pieces of stone up the stairs. They laid carpet through the hallway to protect the floors and began the install. They did their best to make everything square and as close to the walls as possible. Unfortunately people who build houses today don’t believe in square anymore so I don’t envy their job of trying to fit a square peg into an un-square hole. At one point during the install I noticed that one side of the stove was a little off center. Paul said it wasn’t a problem and proceeded to cut the stone on site to make it fit. Later he noticed that one of the measurements was off a little so they reloaded the stone into the truck and took it back to the shop to make sure the cut was done cleanly on their shop saw. They were back within the hour and completed the install. Overall the experience was very good with Paul addressing my concerns and rectifying anything that was not quite right. I also had no issue dealing with the staff at the store, Shannon and Erica, who for me, were very friendly and helpful. I see some bad reviews about Regal but as everyone knows, people rarely write in when things go well, they only comment if they have complaints.
Thanks Regal for a great job.

Never again

I wish I'd read reviews. They made a mistake measuring the countertop and it hung over much more (10" one side, 2" the other) on one side than the other so I asked them to fix it immediately. They argued this would crack my sink and I'd be responsible for it, I said I certainly would not. They fixed it and left. At this point I realized none of the drawers and doors would open. Called them three times to come back and nobody would respond, this scuffed up all our brand new cabinetry. Wish I'd read all the horribe reviews. Also have noticed cut or sealing lines along the front and counters were dull looking withing the first couple of days and I hadn't even wiped with anything other than a damp towel. Terrible service, terrible install, terrible product.

48 Inch single sink bathroom vanity

Has to be the worst customer service experience I've ever had. First delivery date I was told was to be April 7th but I had to drive to their office to find out if it was really happening. When I arrived there they said they'd be there in an hour but couldnt explain why a phone call or email couldnt have been sent to confirm it. It did arrive in an hour but with the wrong edge was routered and although they offered me a discount on it, it did not look bathroom appropriate. They took it back and i was told it would take 2 weeks. Even more frustrating because of the fact that I had even made a special trip to their office to show them which edge I wanted at which time girl Friday Erica made a note on my order sheet. On April 25th i received a text message that owner Paul had confirmed delivery for Wednesday May 2. That's 4 weeks not 2 weeks for re-routering edges which I learned takes an hour to do. During that time they told me that the type of granite i ordered doesn't take the waterfall edge very well and it could be rough and not finished very well as if it was story concocted to convince me to take the countertop as is because they never told me that when I ordered it. They also told me that it is a premium edge and that it would cost extra which I told them I would not be paying for due to their errors and delays. Then on Friday April 28th I was emailed that the install date was now Friday May 4th and Paul would contact me to confirm. Surprise no contact from Paul all week so again I drove to their office on Friday May 4th and found the office closed except for 2 fabricators in the work shop. My countertop was in the shop and had the waterfall edge routered but Paul was apparently out doing quotes. I left a written message for him to call me and you guessed it....no Paul call. Monday May 8th at 1 pm I drove to the office and confronted Erica about such poor customer service. She volunteered to get Paul on his cellphone which I declined because he has never contacted me when I have asked to speak with him or to confirm anything. Erica She was unable to answer why he did not bother to call me after I left the written note last Friday. Erica did say that it will be installed sometime this week that Paul will call to confirm at which point i laughed because I've heard that story before. Anyhow Erica plays fast and loose with the truth and at one point after a few early misfires on delivery dates told me that Paul was now in charge of arranging and confirming delivery dates which of course is a joke because he doesn't call anyone apparently. Still don't know when its coming but this is a main bathroom which has been un-functional for 5 weeks because of a countertop and sink and not a coffee table for my living room ...a bathroom. incredible incompetence

Marble Bathroom Vanity Top

An excruciating experience with this company. Our bathroom vanity top cracked - like in half. I have been promised by Paul the owner that he will replace the top. Excuses and telephone rudeness since last APRIL. I now have to go to Ontario Small Claims Court. I hope that they will make a judgement for cash, because these people cannot be trusted. I will remove this if this has a happy ending, but I don't have any hope. Go some where else. This has been a needless nightmare. I am from ORILLIA, not Ottawa as my profile says.

QUARTZ COUNTER TOP

This is the first time I have written a review like this but I feel obligated to let people know who are looking to have a good experience for what I believe is the crowning moment for kitchen reno's that I would look elsewhere.

First I will say the people who installed did work very hard.
My main issues seem to be with the management. Here is my experience in a nutshell.
-twice missed scheduled afternoon install/call back appointments and showed up late in the evening with little communication.
-after the crew left the install we discovered a drawer that would not open (front lip was too deep) and a bottom cupboard door which we could not open), I think this would all be checked before leaving the job site.
-we were then told during install that the backsplash would be be installed at a later date.
-we called the next business day and communiced these issues and then received no reply for almost a week.
-when the repair crew arrived they had not been informed of these issues and thought they only had the backsplash to install which resulted in a piece having to be taken back to the shop and another re-install date.
-when the work was nearing completion communication suddenly became better and appointments on time as the hold back amount became due.
-I also have to say some initial advice that was give (like putting the main counter joint at the sink (thankfully we did not go for this as I discovered this is fairly visible) did not seem to be in the customer's best interest, but instead was for ease of installation.Same for the recommended miter edge as it seems to chip easily and requires repair at installation.
-In summary I like the product we chose, it does look good but still my eye is drawn to the little repairs as even they do no seem quit right and it just seem to diminish the experience.

Granite Kitchen Countertop & backsplash

We were not informed that installing the granite kitchen countertop and backsplash would result in removal of the upper cupboard valances and that these would not be reinstalled by the installers. The valances must be shortened to fit the thicker backsplash, and we have been trying for more than two weeks to find someone to do this. We do not have the skill or equipment to do this, and do not know a carpenter who would handle such a small job.I have emailed, telephoned and met Paul in person requesting referral to a carpenter who can do this. He promises to do this, promises to call, but never does. We had to hire a handyman to reinstall the electrical outlet plates also. If you ever have this company do work for you, be sure to keep a hold-back to ensure he follows through. This issue has certainly robbed us of the initial thrill of the otherwise beautiful installation by Rob and Mariano. We would certainly revisit this rating should Paul and Regal contact us with someone to complete this job.
