California Closets

I searched around for a company that would be willing to work with me on this project and they were more than willing to that. It was a strange configuration and I wanted to do some of it myself and let them do some. The project was done professionally and no mess was left. I love it

The customer service from consultation, install, to coming back for deficiencies was great. I have no problem referring California Closets to friends and clients. I gave a 9 just on the fact that California Closets may not the suitable for a very price sensitive consumer. Thanks for everything.

I'm just thrilled with how the new den looks and how comfortable the room is for both work and relaxing. The den looks grand. I especially love the colours, variety of shelving units, significant storage spaces and impressive presence of the cabinets.

I'm very impressed with California Closets' customer service. To date, there is absolutely no complaints from that front. Their staff members have all been polite, courteous, and did what they were paid to do.
The only unfortunate issue is that the built-in did not turn out as expected. But CC offered us a full refund and will remove the system and patch up the walls. We're at the waiting stage for them to do this. So far, customer service has been stellar.
Will update Homestar once the system is removed and refund received.

Update (almost forgot) - Cali Closets came, removed the system and promptly refunded us as promised. Kudos to them for standing behind their service and product, even though it didn't work out for us. Would not hesitate to refer them for closet installations.

When downsizing to a condo in November 2013, we contracted California Closets (CC) to replace and maximize the space in four of our closets. We worked with Danielle LaPointe, a CC designer, who consistently provided excellent advice, service and follow up. Danielle is extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. She was very quick to understand and address our needs for additional space and came up with creative ideas. She did not attempt to sell us up to more expensive solutions than we actually needed. In the past, we had understood that CC was an expensive company. However, our experience in working with Danielle resulted in us having attractive and high quality closets for a price comparable to those of competing closet companies. The follow up service, for example, checking that the closets were perfectly installed, was equally impressive.

Moving from a big older condo to newer one sometimes means sacrificing storage space. I looked around for different companies and this was highly recommended by my friends who have used it in the past.

Sue was friendly, extremely organized, punctual, patient, and very professional! She took into account my budget and came up with several design options, which is very important to me. She took an inventory of my clothes, shoes, and other stuff just so she could figure out how many drawers and hanging spaces I needed. Whenever I had any questions, she was sure to reply.

It was a bit pricey for the entire closet (which is expected for anything custom built), but it was well worth it!

I used California Closets twice so far (two different condos). They designed and installed two walk-in closets, a regular bedroom closet, and two sets of living room book shelves. On both occasions they did a great job. The design part was pretty exciting - discussing with Sue, the designer, and having her present several options to me based on what I wanted and various budget scenarios. Then the installation came - it went without a hitch and the guy really knew what he was doing and did a fantastic job. Seeing the paper design come true and having super organized and beautiful shelves and closets was a great experience. I have recommended CC to friends who have also used their services and loved their work. I'll certainly use them again - I just need to find a new condo that needs work!

Use California Closets to design, build and install a closet solution for a space-constrained area. Eric was helpful in trying to understand my requirements and preferences, and then presenting options. The design solution we arrived at I feel makes the best use of the space available for the closet.

Product was delivered on time and installation was quick and professional.

Price, including installation, was fair - only a bit more expensive than anything that could fit from Ikea, but well worth it for the customization and absolute maximization of useful space.

The representative (Sue) came to my home and assessed my requirements and designed the closet with me. This was done in a very professional manner (they provide computer generated photos of exactly what the closet shelves and hanging areas will look like from every angle).
The installers showed up on time and did a very nice job.
I have a bit of a problem with "would you recommend this company to your mother" because the answer is "yes" = 5, in terms of a job well done and having a nice closet, but I lowered the rating a bit because my mother would find the cost too high as you can get similar closets installed for less money (but I doubt the quality is as good?). I actually chose the lower end of what california closets offer and the costs were still high!.

We had a customized pantry installed. The designer cam to our home and customized the style for our needs and our preferences. They gave very good advice. The installation engineers were very professional. They keep the home very clean before and after! They were Fantastic!
