Needed stone, instead, got an earful of profanity.
I had the unfortunate pleasure of going to Leona stone to buy some flagstone and armor stone for my property.
I met with Tony on arrival and he told me to go back to the yard to have a look. Meeting with one of his people, he pointed me to the flag stone and he said he'd pick whatever I wanted. As we started to pick the stone (I needed about 25 for stepping stones) another yard worker came over and openly insulted the worker saying "you can't pick stone for customers, I'm docking your pay!" After this embarrassing scene, they let me know I could pick off of one skid only - so we did and took the stones for weighing.
This is where things get exciting. I went into the showroom to meet Tony and proceed with payment. At this point, he asks where the stone is going. When I respond with "the beach in Toronto" he FREAKS out. He proceeds to swear at me and tell me that I've wasted his time, and it's too far to go. He adds that if I want it delivered it'll be $500. I demand a refund so I can leave.
I take my money and I've had enough, so start to walk out the door only to have more insults and profane language thrown my way. While this is a family site, I won't elaborate, but I surely shared back in kind what I though of him and his business.
Unfortunately, this pathetic excuse for a business owner is opening a new yard. He clearly has no idea how to treat customers, or people for that matter. I hope that others with negative experiences share them to prevent anyone else from wasting their time by going to see Tony the worst, most profane, customer service representative I've ever met in my life.
