We are extremely pleased with our new home. Adam and Ryan Hayter are amazing to work with and very knowledgeable. I would recommend RWH to anyone looking to build. It was a pleasure.

We hired RWH (Bob Hayter) Construction to build our cottage in Fenelon Falls. Building began in late October and we had the roof on and the windows in by the first snowfall! We had our own plans, but Bob was excellent in giving great suggestions on how to place the cottage on the very narrow, steep lot. Of the 5 builders we contacted, he was the only one who provided us a spreadsheet of all costs from blasting granite for a basement to building the cottage to completion. All estimates given to us prior to hiring RWH as our builder were right to the penny accurate (no surprises).
They supplied all of the necessary professionals necessary for the job - framers, concrete pouring, drywalling, electrical, plumbing, wood flooring, railings, stairs, tiling, landscaping, etc.
The quality of the workmanship from framing to finishing touches was over and above our high expectations.
With us being in the city throughout the building process, they kept in constant contact with emails, phone calls and photos, making sure we didn't want anything changed as we went along. Any time we had questions, they were on top of everything. Even to this day they've stayed in touch with us.
We can't say enough about the personable, friendly, hard working, dedicated owners and employees of RWH Construction. We recommend them highly for any type of renovation/building/finishing jobs.

RWH was hired to fix the work of a previous contractor and they did a good job. We then had them do the rest of the house in stages; the outside was done beautifully and then we had the kitchen, TV room and the upstairs done. They were paid as each section was done. The work included insulation, walls, flooring etc and everything was fine until it came to custom built cabinets in the kitchen. We were going to go with IKEA but were told that we would get a much nicer result with custom made cabinets so we agreed. Once installed we noticed that the molding around the kitchen window would have to be smaller on one side than on the other due to their measurement being off. We also noticed that the built in cabinet was done about six inches away from the molding around the door but the other side was done so that there wasn't any room for molding. It was mentioned to Ryan in no uncertain terms that we were not happy with the result. We were not asking for it to be redone but that we work a little closer for the next stage to be done and he agreed. Several weeks later Ryan emailed to inform us that we would see him on April 12-13. He never showed up and he did not bother to call.
On April 22, Ryan emailed to say he was ready to do the next stage and to give him a call to arrange a starting date. From that time on our phone calls and emails have been ignored. On May 29, I visited an open house for the new building housing RWH Construction and was introduced once more "to the guy who will be doing your work" but again there has not been any response to my calls or emails.
On June 4, I called from my cell phone to see what was going on and was told by Ryan that his dad says that they should not do any more work for us but that he will call us on Monday. Monday came and went with no contact so I guess that I should take the hint.
What I cannot understand is why Ryan cannot be up front and tell me that he doesn't want to do the work instead of letting me wait. Now there isn't a contractor available until October and we have already been waiting for this to be completed for over a year.
