A 1 Cement Contractors Ltd

A number of years ago we had A1 pour a sidewalk from the front of our home to the rear walkout patio. At about one year, the sidewalk pulled off of the house from a centimeter to about an inch and a half the entire way. I called A1 who sent out three different representatives who said that was normal. After inspecting a number of other sidewalks I recognized that this space was not normal in my opinion. After agreeing to come seal the gap on three occasions they failed to show or complete the seal. Fast forward a few years when I was selling my house. I called the company on numerous occasions and left messages asking for help to seal the area as the new buyer placed a condition that this be completed before the sale. To this day, NOBODY has returned any of my messages. The reason that I am writing this review is that they are very friendly when they want to get paid; however, when it comes to helping afterwards they will not return phone calls. All I was asking for was the gap to be sealed. The funny part is that I would have gladly paid them for the job. Instead, I went to Northland Concrete and bought sealer and completed the job myself. I would carefully your options and the possible warranties on any concrete products that you purchase.

We met Adrien at the Calgary Home Show and liked his years of experience and willingness to provide references to call and/or view previous work. I inspected close to 10-12 previous jobs and talked with several home owners before awarding our job. Our project consisted of a triple car stamped charcoal driveway with exposed aggregate borders and palomino colored diamond insert with a stamped compass. The rear patio was a palomino wood stamp covered with a walnut color.

Adrien was very accommodating to work with our ideas and he provided great suggestions. His crew showed up on time, were efficient and hard working. His main forming guy, Jay was highly skilled and could form any idea we came up with. The end result was amazing and would absolutely use Adrien again.

We had dealt with A-1Cement for our driveway years prior. Decided to get our walkway poured..aggregate cement. The guys came out to do our quote and upon agreement, gave us a date. On the day of service, there were several guys out and the work was completed efficiently and completely. A year later, cracks came thru, we placed a call and owner of the company came out to take a look. Said they would take care of the problem and did so without any question.

We had the best experience - not only were they on tim but were on budget as well. We had other quotes that were ore expensive and some were less but they have the best reputation and now I know why. It looks great and now we can enjoy our backyard better!

We had A-1 Concrete pour a stamped concrete pad for our backyard. After some correspondence with the salesman (I WISH I could remember the guy's name because he was fantastic!), we arranged to have the work done. The salesman quoted 2-3 weeks before they could make it out just because it was the height of their busy season. Not a big deal - we weren't in rush. Get this...they sent someone out within a week! What a lovely surprise!

The workmanship was phenomenal. The boys who did the work were at the house a few times throughout the day and also followed up to do some work during the week. When we had questions after the work was done and the bill was paid, they didn't hesitate to give the same customer service as we got since day one.

I would recommend this company in a heartbeat!

I talked with the salesman at my home and described what I wanted done. the initial quote came back and we paid some upfront and the rest when they did the pour. They installed 100 sq feet of new concrete. My wife and I went away for a week vacation and when we returned the new concrete was poured. The step down and short side walk was done wrong because there was no step down just a large piece of concrete beside the garage on the transition down side of the yard. The salesman after repeated unanswered calls came by to inspect and said the installer did not follow his drawing. When they came to replace the concrete that was poured wrong, the installers did not know what we wanted so myself and my wife had to explain to him how to make the form for the pour. Through the whole experience we noticed that there was not proper communication between the sales person and the installer. As well, the sales person would not return any calls or emails of inquiry for weeks at a time. We had a large pile of gravel and dirt in front of our our house for at least 40 days. Not too impressed with this contractor and would not recommend them.

They had came out to my house and they cut the concrete for my egress basement window. They did a great job of the cutting and making sure they cleaned up. They laid out there tarp to make sure that there were no mess in my basement. Give them a try
