Mermaid Pools And Hot Tubs

We just purchased an above ground pool from Erika. She was great to work with, very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of the questions we had from installation to pool care. I would recommend dealing with her if you are looking to buy a pool! We had to call Mermaid a couple times for questions after the installation and everyone we spoke to over the phone was very helpful.

New customer beware - they don't care about your business. New pool owner here. Was being told that Mermaid was opening and closing my pool for years, and being told by multiple source that they are excellent. Booked pool opening on mid-Apr for May 7, and was told that when the technician arrive they will discuss maintenance package. Got a confirmation that they will be over May 5, but was told they cannot confirm what time as we are currently renovating and not living in the house. Was told on May 5 that they will call on May 7 before arriving. Guess what, they decided to show up at 7:30am without any call. They called me on May 9 and they apologize for no call said they will waive the no-show fee. Re-booked for May 25. May 24 they call and say they want to re-schedule. At that point my pool was very green, and I have no clue if it is okay to delay any more. Was told they will show up on May 25. The "technician" show up on May 25, only pulled the tarps and charged me $310 (includes $90 no-show fee). No chemical was dump. Asked about what maintenance was being told he don't handle and have no idea. Now I have to find another company, and was being told the pool was not properly opened. Probably need to spend another $3-400 for the pool to actually properly open. Definitely stay away from this company that do nothing.

Update: they contacted me later regarding this review and the over charge. They offer me the refund of the "return trip" and a gift certificate IF I REMOVE THIS REVIEW. I turn down the "offer" as they should had never charged me the return trip at all AND I have no interest to deal with them ever.

Phil was great to deal with. He worked through details to help us get the tub we wanted. Love the service and the quality. they were prompt in delivery and came to the house to help us set up the tub and learn the operation details of the tub.

We recently purchased a bullfrog hot tub at Mermaid Pools’ Nepean location. Phil Morneault, the sales manager, was very helpful and knowledgeable. We were able to set up wet testing with him and he answered all of our questions. We were exceedingly pleased with the level of service and got the tub we wanted at a great price. I would recommend Mermaid pools and their staff to anyone looking for a new pool or spa.

Just bought an above ground Pool at the Merivale Road Mermaid Pools. Our experience was great. Andrea and staff were more then helpful answering all of questions and offering great suggestions and options geared to our specific needs.

My husband and I purchased a Bullfrog Hot Tube with the help of Phil and Erika in December. We had a very pleasant experience dealing with Mermaid. The model we purchased was a floor model on sale. There was a very minor problem with the hot tub at first (just a plug in the wrong spot or something like that) but their service department helped us out with the issue immediately. That along with sending someone to our house to go over properly operating our hot tub and using the chemicals was very beneficial and much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Mermaid Pools if you are looking to purchase a hot tub!

We purchased a Bullfrog hot tub from Mermaid and our experience was great. Erika and Phil were very informative and helpful. They easily answered all our questions and concerns about the proper management and set up of the hot tub. There was a minor glitch in organizing the delivery of the hot tub involving the time of delivery. The team at Mermaid appear to love and believe in their products and want to sell you the right hot tub for your desires. We are in our tub 5-6 times a week and are sleeping, feeling and moving better.

This is my 3rd Hot tub purchase in the last 20 years at Mermaids Pools and Hot Tubs. I have always received the best service, best product and after sale support is always great. I will be a life time customer!

I purchased a Bullfrog hot tub from Phil "The Pool Guy" at Mermaid and had a great experience. Not only was I presented with an excellent value on a great hot tub, but I was also taken care of through all stages of the process (base preparation, GFCI hookup, delivery, installation). Anytime I had questions, Phil was available to answer on his cellphone. I've also used their free chemical testing service and found them to be very helpful.

Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and experience at Mermaid. The Bullfrog tub is great; beautiful, energy efficient and a therapeutic delight.

We purchase our Bullfrog Spa from Rob P. at the Merivale Road location. From the moment he greeted us, he was very friendly and knowledgeable in understanding that he needed to hear what we were looking for (lots of research) and not what he wanted to sell us. Rob has been a main point of contact (sorry about the days off!) consistently to make sure we were happy, and set up all the rest of the team to work with us and the purchase, from Sandy in the warehouse, to Phil for setup. Excellent service Rob, you made this an exceptional buying experience.
