Genesis Security Group

I recently called Genesis to add a door contact to our system after a minor renovation. The service person came and said there was a major problem with our system and he disabled everything and said he would come back another time to fix it. He didn't contact me and Genesis didn't return my phone call or email. I eventually hired another company and they found major flaws with our system such as a disconnected motion detector, a door with no contact, etc. Based on my experience, they should not be in this business.

The alarm had gone off (false alarm) at our apartment and they had sent someone to check out our place. When I came home, the alarm wasn't reset so I emailed them for more information. I couldn't believe it--I emailed everybody I knew at Genesis several times (billing, info & admin emails, alarm monitoring, and director of services) several times and I didn't receive one response until 1.5 months later (and it was an inadequate answer). This wasn't even a big deal--I just had a minor question but no one would reply back to me.

2.5 months after this incident, I sent them an email that I was terminating their services and what to do next--forms, pick up keys?... Again no reply. I finally called them and they said that they would have a guard drop off my keys. When I opened the envelope, they were the wrong keys!! I finally went to their office and sat there until they found my keys, about 45 minutes.

Epilogue:
NINE months later, I receive a bill from them listing all the "unpaid" invoices. Apparently, they didn't know that I had fired them. I sent them an angry email, and they called me back promptly (surprise!) and got it settled very quickly.
