We have an unconventional fridge model (not your usual brand name) we use as a secondary fridge that stopped cooling. Joe spent some time with me on the phone first to ascertain the extent of the problem and I appreciated that, as at least he was being honest about what the limitations could be before actually coming out on the service call. Anyway, he did make the trip in the end, brought along his box of “spare parts that most typically would fail first” and got the compressor (hence cooling) working again (what a great approach – you don’t have to wait for a technician to order a part after the initial visit). He did say he’d never seen a fridge like that before but he did do some research and followed up with me the next day regarding availability of parts, so at least I now know what my limitations are. I enjoyed his straight forward approach and thoroughness to this and I thank him for getting that fridge working again as we gear up for the holiday season.
