I chose Tender Touch based on the reviews from this site. Overall I found them to be professional. They did a good job and nothing was damaged.
Our move took a lot longer than expected. This was the first time I used a moving company, so I was not used to the care taken with our things. For my preference, I felt it was excessive. They took an exceptional amount of time wrapping our furniture. I would say that 50% of the time they spent moving was due to wrapping, despite that we had pre-wrapped a lot of our stuff. I can only assume that this was a 'liability' thing. They seemed to be going really fast at the start and we were confident that that the truck would be loaded by the three men within a couple of hours, but it took more than double that as they slowed down to wrap and wrap and wrap some more.
The move went 4 hours longer than quoted and took approximately 9 hours. So was significantly greater than the quoted cost. Based on the inventory I gave and the size our our houses we were quote 1 hour more than the minimum. There are just two of us, moving from a 3 bedroom townhouse to a 2 bedroom detached home. We also chose to move some of our own stuff to avoid the additional wrapping/cost in the end to help speed things up.
All in all, I would recommend Tender Touch to anyone who is not concerned about cost, but extremely concerned about care and customer service.
