Wind Damage Repair

Span-co rescued us promptly by repairing our fence and neighbour's deck after a windstorm left a huge branch across our neighbour's yard. During a very busy season, they came quickly and did an excellent job salvaging much of what had been damaged and leaving the sites looking as they had been before the storm. Everyone who worked on the job was very pleasant and professional.

Home Renovation/Painting

I chose to use Span-Co for some minor renovation work and interior painting as my uncle has relied on this company for several years to carry out various projects in his home. He has always spoken positively about their work and services.

The work that was completed in my home was excellent. Clayton and Tom, the contractor, always tried to find solutions that were cost-effective. With respect to the interior painting, the results can only be described as “stunning” and “seamless”.

It should also be noted that most of the work was completed inside my home while I was away. No issues or concerns arose with any of the tradespeople who were working onsite in my absence.

Finally, over the course of the project, it became evident to me that Span-Co was genuinely concerned about meeting expectations. Jason responded immediately and effectively to any questions and concerns that I had, and took much time to ensure that the project was moving along to my satisfaction.

Converting garage to usable indoor space

We moved into our freehold townhouse in 2009. Later that summer we had some of the worst rain and our garage/basement flooded. Over the next 3 years it flooded twice more. Finally in 2015 we decided to completely gut the space and redo it to ensure that it was flood-resistant and liveable.

In all, Clayton and his team level;ed the usable living space down there, moved walls around, added a 2-piece bathroom, installed heated floors, pot lights, a laundry nook, and laundry sink, and added spray insulation to the garage portion to keep the kitchen floor above warm. They did a fantastic job and we love the transformation of this space.

We waited 2 winters to write this review because we wanted to see how the work held up through rain and winter. The space is a dream and the floors are warm. The upstairs holds the heat better now that there is insulation and having a working laundry area has made our lives easier.

These guys are definitely our go to from now on. We are about to embark on a Master Bedroom reno and will be contacting them shortly. After that, we will do the Kitchen.

Thanks Clayton, Tim, and others! You guys were great to work with.

Bathrooms and kitchens are usually the most demanding due to all the finite finishing details. I am always thrilled when we get such a strong indorsement especially when having to pull all the details together for kitchen improvements. We strive to give our clients the best service and end results. I also thank our installers Tom, Lennart and Peter. Howard was our quality control manager and he also helped in making sure everything went well.
Last but not least, I thank our client for taking the time to write such a positive review.

Kitchen renovation

My contractor Tim was most courteous, pleasant and very professional. His work was most satisfactory and the kitchen looks great. He did a supper job with 30 year old cupboard, adjusting, realigning and replacing boards where necessary. As well as mosaic backsplash. Taking up the existing floors and replacing with tiles. My kitchen now looks like a million bucks. Needless to say that I am very happy with the result.

kitchen reno

Needed a wall taken down. Tim did a fabulous job and I couldn't be happier with the results. Replaced my cabinets with deeper ones and finished off the project matching the paint exactly. Cleaned the work site every day. I would highly recommend Tim for any project and wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

Kitchen and Bathroom makeover

Clayton and his team did a first class job in meeting our project requirements prior to a house sale. The work was done professionally, on time and on budget. We appreciated the suggestions made by the team as the work was being done, and the extra effort made to ensure the job was done right. The completed work contributed to a successful house sale. Our client’s David and Sue were a delight to work with. We did a lot of work in both the kitchen and master bathroom to bring the home up to more current design tastes. We were pleased when they presented well and sold quickly.
We are now working on Dave and Sue’s new home. We really appreciate the HomeStars feedback.

Condo renovation

We learned of Span-Co from another owner in our building. We needed substantial parts of the suite demolished and re-constructed and quickly and efficiently. We were extremely pleased with Span-Co. Steve was always available, amenable and professional. Couldn't have been happier with him. We found the company to be experienced, honest, fair and reasonable. So much so that we are asking them to return to do our bathrooms. We recommend Span-Co highly.

We have numerous clients in the condo near St Clair and Mount Pleasant Rd. We work hard to provide the right mix of materials, workmanship and design flair. Our client was very knowledgeable and made the project go smoothly. We look forward to further improvement work to the bathrooms.
Thank you, Susan, for the kind words.

This project involved details and design that utilized the best of materials. We even built a cart that could carry a 10 foot by 6 foot stone island countertop after receiving it on the second floor via a crane we arranged. The stone top was successfully installed in place. There were many other non average details that made this project most amazing. Our client’s were part of the success of the project.

various

moving into a new house, is supposed to make life easy and carefree - that is, until you discover all the short cuts, omissions and deficiencies that came with your new house.

spanco came to us through my sister-in-law who has used the company extensively. we have now worked with spanco for a few years on a number of projects from the basement to the roof, and a few in between.

unlike many contractors, spanco stand by their work. there is a skilled group of guys who know what they are doing. for the skills they do not have in-house, they know who to call in to get the job done.

it is wonderful, and quite refreshing, to work with someone who gets the job done, and knows how to clean up when they are done. bravo.

I have recommended spanco to several of my neighbours already.
