We purchased our new mattress at the end of June 2012. Within 2-3 weeks, it was very clear to me that it was too soft - I wasn't sleeping well and woke up in the morning and could not move. I'm a 30-something fit person. This should NOT be happening. I called customer service and they immediately agreed to issue an exchange. We went into our local Beaches store, where I was berated by the sales associate. She implied that I was exaggerating and that it was just "my body adjusting to the new bed. How could this bed possibly be too soft for me? It's a pretty firm mattress and she used to work in a chiropractic clinic so she KNOWS about these things". Needless to say, we left without selecting a new mattress.
The following week, we went into a different Sleep Country store and selected a new mattress. This mattress was delivered with a massive sag. I called customer service and they told me that I needed to give it at least two weeks because the springs needed time to "settle down".
The inspector (Jeff) finally came out and was very nice and helpful. He was surprised to hear that our mattress was damaged because he seldom receives complaints from this brand. Nonetheless, he agreed that it was defective and rapidly cleared us for an exchange.
Bed #3 was delivered 2 weeks ago (note that we are talking about just over 2 months since our first mattress was delivered). Guess what?? ALSO DAMAGED. I've called customer service AGAIN and am being told that it will take 4-6 weeks for the inspector to come back and that they refuse to give me my money back.
Call me crazy but I feel like I deserve an undamaged mattress. I've given Sleep Country more than a fair shot at fixing the problem but they seem unwilling to do so. SO, if you want to save yourself some time and energy, do not buy a mattress from this company. They don't care about customer service and providing high-quality products.
