The Sherwood Custom Homes team was fantastic to work with throughout our entire project. It was a true collaboration from the initial design phase to the construction and finishings. We can’t wait to work with them on our next project!

Sherwood Custom Homes has built 2 new houses for my family. We also used Sherwood North to build our cottage and Boathouse in Muskoka. Our experiences working with Sherwood have been exceptional. The process was seamless, the team is friendly, supportive and responsive, and the workmanship is excellent. The trades and suppliers were first class, and a pleasure to work with. Many of our friends have worked with Sherwood Custom Homes and Sherwood North and have had equally positive experiences. I highly recommend Sherwood if you are looking for the finest quality for your new home or cottage.

I don't write reviews very often but this warrants a share. Most of our complaints are with their kitchen and bath supplier. Spent more than $100k in upgrades.. kitchen cupboards paint is bubbling and cracking, bathroom drawers were engineered improperly.

Ongoing issues also include outside windows frames (paint) have deteriorated. Roof shingles and eaves improperly installed.. list goes on.

We have lost hope that their warranty department has no interest in resolving. Next step, is to escalate and bring in the lawyers/Tarion we suppose.

Working with Sherwood and the project manager was an awful, stressful and frustrating experience. The owners do not return calls or follow up when there are concerns. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please do your research. There are great companies out there, so no need to choose this one.

We had our dream home built by Sherwood, as did several friends of ours. Not only was the process smooth and worry free, but the after construction service has been exceptional. Everyone I know that has worked with Sherwood has glowing reviews. I highly reccommend thEm if you are looking for the finest quality and service.

Sherwood passes themselves off as a high-end custom home builder and charges accordingly. However, they are far from it. When issues arose in our home (from day one) they passed the buck, ducked responsibility, blamed others and put the onus on us as homeowners to be the drivers to get things resolved - even though they were hired to be the project managers. The owners are a joke - they sign you up and then you never see them again, and when things get serious and you elevate unresolved issues to them they hide. They never return phone calls or emails. The lack of customer service is appalling. Nor did they ever register our new home for Tarion. I will NEVER recommend them. I am dealing with issues now on a new home that I shouldn't even be encountering with a 20 yr old home. Do not waste a single second on these guys.

Sherwood is only as good as the staff they have and unfortunately the good ones have left. We had our home built by Sherwood and once we moved in and issues arose and when you call to have things fixed, you don't get call backs and if they come to see the issue they point the fingers at someone else even though we paid sherwood for a project manager. I will never use this company again nor would i recommend it to anyone building. Do your due diligence and make sure that you read reviews and speak to home owners before you choose a builder otherwise it will cost you dearly.
