Semywood Flooring Ltd

I hired Semywood flooring to do my living room in March of 2008. The Owner came to do the estimate and I liked his attitude and he seemed like he knew what he was doing. Then came the day to start the job. They told me they would be here first thing in the morning. It was in the afternoon when one guy arrived and started to remove the old floor. Then when he started to put the sub floor down, they did not have enough material, and he had to go get more. 2 hours later he returned and finished the sub floor. The next day a different guy came to put the hardwood down. Same thing he ran out of material and they told me that the estimate was wrong and they need more money to finish the job (only $500 more). When that was finished, I noticed that the transition with the hardwood and tile was all coming apart so I made an appointment for a repair. The repair was scheduled for a Friday, no phone call no repair until Saturday when the guy just showed up out of the blue. The repair was a disaster!!!!!! It took another month to get Yuri the owner here for an inspection. He agreed with me and the came to fix the job the next day with some other minor repairs to come in the following weeks. It is now November 2008, no repairs and I have been trying for months to get Yuri on the phone. He was supposed to send someone to fix my floor and i just received a phone call that was very unprofessional. He said maybe today, maybe tomorrow. I told him it was scheduled for today he just hung up the phone.
He was very quick to take the money but not quick to finish the job!!!!!!!!!

I purchased Bamboo floor from Semywood in February 2008. When I called this company, I was not sure what I needed, I was looking for something durable for my kids' bedroom. They explained everything to me, gave some suggestions so I had few choices to make. When I was ready to make my decision I got a quick over-the-phone estimate, and soon they were on there way to measure the room. The Sales person Roman was very educated on the subject and most helpful to myself as I never dealt with floor renovations before. So Thanks to Semywood Flooring :)

I contracted Semywood to refinish the flooring in my new house before I moved in. I informed them of a tight timeline and they were given 6 days to strip and re-finish approx. 1300 sq.ft. Although the person they sent was a nice fellow and seemed to know what he was doing, I discovered after the first day that as soon as I left to work for the day, they headed out the door, not to be seen until the next morning. I wanted an explanation the next day - they told me they were getting supplies etc. and that they would be finished on time - not to worry. They stayed for the rest of the day, but the rest of the week was a different story. They were clearly working on another job. I finally went to the showroom to speak with the owner, Yuri. He told me that they were sub-contractors and "what can I do about it?" I asked him to take responsibility for the job and he informed me that I didn't understand how the business worked. When we finally got to staining the floor, it turned out the colour we had chosen was a custom mix and they couldn't remember what the mix was. They suggested I go to Home Depot and choose a new colour. Could I EVER recommend this company? NO! Never again. BEWARE!
