I've been a home owner for over three years now and just purchased my second home. I purchased ADT about a year after living at my first house, and from the beginning, it was extremely obvious that their customer service was absolutely terrible. A few days after having an installering into my home to set everything up, i got a call from ADT asking me when would be a good time for them to come set everything up. They had no documented proof at that time that someone had been in my home and set everything up.
On my most recent move, I experienced the most incompetent series of events I have ever been involved in on the most simple of tasks...a basic move. After the move, I recieved a bill for $700 dollars for an early cancellation fee. On top of that, I was told another bill for $400 was in the mail, which was for set up at my new home, even though I was told by multple reps that I would not be charged for either item. Also, a week after I moved, I received a call saying my burglar alarm at my old house had gone off. The new people at the home accidently set it off, and ADT had no way to turn it off for them, and had not properly deactivated it. I had to drive over and turn it off for them and give them my personal code, all because ADT didn't do their job properly.
I've never been more upset with a company or a customer service group. Just terrible, terrible service.
