The entire experience with PEG has been horrible. I could echo all of the complaints made by others - completely unresponsive and difficult to get a hold of, messy, late ALL THE TIME, messy as all hell...I feel so 'done' at this point. I'm done being mad about the horrible serivce PEG has provided. I can completely relate to the woman who said she wanted to cry and she had only been in her situation for less than a month- for myself it has been two months and still going - no appliances, have boxes and food from my emptied cupboards in my dining room, house in complete disarray .... no anticipated completion date even in sight. Oh and to top it all off I am 7 months pregnant. Not fun. Beware. Even now I'm already noticing scratches on our brand new cupboards -wonder how they got there. We hired professionals to avoid anything of that sort. Our kitchen is VERY small so we are paying a pretty penny for a very unprofessional and extremely time-consuming installation service. By the way, don't expect IKEA and PEG to communicate at all on your behalf. You would think they would, considering the price you pay, but there's no coordination amongst the two parties. You are the middleman and it's a complete and utter nightmare.
Further examples... - First demolition appointment was booked on a date separate from what was communicated to us - The fellow installing our cupboards told me he would be removing the boxes...he did not, and they sat in my living room for another month until I finally called a junk removal service and paid a lot to have them taken away - 2 months later we had a date scheduled to have the job completed. They tried to cancel at the last minute but we had specifically made plans around this date so my husband all but begged. Fortunately they sent someone, but he was 3 hours later than he told us he would be. Guess what? The job was not and is not still (a week later) completed.
I can't believe it's two months later and my kitchen is still in shambles. Everyone I talk to is shocked. My husband thought this was the nature of kitchen renos, but we've since talked to a number of people who had positive experiences with other companies (e.g. Home Depot). I recommend going there. Good luck.
