Bath Valve Leaking

Worst experience ever. My bath tap was leaking water a little bit. I talked my condo management office. They advised me to contact New Water Plumbing. Then I started to contact the company. I sent pictures and explained problem to them by email and phone. The said they will call me back. I waited for about 5 days. No one called me back. Then I called the company again. They couldn't find my case. On the phone it sounded like they got confused my case confused with another address or whatever. They said they'd call me back again. I waited for another 5 days. Still no one called me back. This time I called the company again and explained my bath leaking problem like a new customer call in. They recalled my problem and set up an appointment for me.
Then the nightmare began. On the appointment day, the plumper came on time with one greeting "I am a plumber". Then he came in my condo without taking off shoes (not even asked to do so). At that moment, I was okay because he could probably fix my bath leaking problem. He took out a wrench and tried to twisted the valve for only 2 times. Then he told me. It will cost about $600. I said that would be too much for me. I would not like to continue the job. Then he said each visit the minimal charge will be $150 which the office lady did not tell me at all. At the beginning, I was okay with some visit charge even the office lady did not tell me. However, the plumber did not even spend 3 mins in my condo. Then he come up with the $600 and $150 amount. I was so shocked and irritating. And during the whole process, the plumber did not perform any professionalism and patience at all !!! I refused to pay. He didn't care at all. He called his supervisor or manager. Then left without a word. This is the worst experience and service I have ever had.

Kitchen sink

The service is terrible. The plumber changed our kitchen pipe (which is not broken, but he insisted a new one, OK) and the next day the pipe went apart. WE can't use the kitchen at all. Called the company and they said they couldn't get anybody to come and fix the problem. IT's due to their lousy job and they are not fixing it???? The person who picked up the phone is very rude. Avoid the company if you can.

Dishwasher installation & Install Braided Hosing for Laundry/Dryer

I called New Water Plumbing because they are one of two plumbing companies that are contracted by our condominium in downtown Toronto, and they were recommended by the condo management. I called in and had two jobs that needed to be done: a plug-in dishwasher installation and replacing the rubber hoses in the washer/dryer with stainless steel braided hoses. I informed the company at the appointment time that I had no parts and would pay for the parts once they are supplied. I asked for an approximation of how long these jobs would take and was told 1.5 hours which sounded reasonable because hey, it was just installing a dishwasher and replacing two hoses right.

On the day of the job the tenants were in the apartment and the plumber was on time, but apparently did not know that he had to replace the hoses on the laundry/dryer and had no parts. I called New Water and they said it was fine, that they would source the parts nearby and I would not be charged for the extra time. Great.

In any case 3 hours later I received a message from my tenants who said that the plumber left an invoice of $458.78 for the two jobs, but the dishwasher was not fully installed because he did not have a certain electrical component. They also said that the plumber left multiple times during the job to get parts from his truck, did not realize the dishwasher was height adjustable and was about to leave at one point because "the dishwasher doesn't fit under the counter" (the wheels are height adjustable), AND in the end was somehow was unable to finish the job.

Needless to say I was shocked that these two very simple jobs would add up to such a high amount. Taking a look at the invoice, not only are the parts VERY expensive ($36 for a dishwasher hose), there were other charges that looked very fishy (G.P.S. $16.50? What in the world is a GPS charge? Are we not in the era of google maps and in any case, apparently this particular plumber has come to the condo many many times so please don't tell me that he doesn't know how to get there and is going to charge me for the GPS. That is just the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of), and you would expect that the person they send would actually know how to install a dishwasher when that's the job they were sent to do. What irks me even more is that I feel they were taking advantage of my tenants to some extent, leaving for 15-20 minutes at a time to get one part or another, not even completing the dishwasher installation, etc., which made them feel uncomfortable as I told them it should have been an easy job that took very little time (which it should have been).

Anyway, I have called New Water Plumbing and informed them that I would like to speak with them about the various charges on the invoice and for the time charged. I am still waiting on them to call me back.

Dish washer and new Kitchen faucet hookup

New Water Plumbing is very reliable. They keep their appointment on time , even though I pay a little higher than market, their work quality shows the results. I definitely recommend and use their service again.

$200.00

I had to call this plumbing service because my condo Board has deemed this company to be the ones to call for the specific purpose of installing a regulator cartridge into the shower tap. I read the reviews posted here, told my condo manager that I would like to use someone else but the response was that it is necessary to use New Water Plumbing.

All I needed done was the installation of the cartridge. New Water Plumbing told me the rate for labour and for the part and asked me for my credit card number to hold the appointment.

The work was done quickly but for some unexplained reason the plumber decided I needed a new shower head. I wasn't home at the time so I did not see nor speak to this plumber while he was in my home (my roommate was there simply to let the plumber in). Without having a call from the plumber, the new shower head was installed and billed to me. Why the shower head has anything to do with the temperature of the water is beyond my comprehension. Why a new shower head needed to be installed is also beyond my comprehension, considering the shower head was perfect and functioned exactly as it should.

The first thing I did was contact New Water Plumbing to complain. I was told someone would get back to me. Four hours later, there was no return call.

I decided to contact my credit card company so that they would put a stop to the charge New Water made on my credit card. Luckily the transaction had not been posted yet.

I then called New Water Plumbing but since it was after regular business hours I had to leave a message with the answering service.

The next day, there was no call from New Water Plumbing. I called them during my lunch break to complain again. I was again told that someone would get back to me.

The shower head left by New Water Plumbing is not necessary and is not being used. Obviously, I am still waiting for this company to make things right.

New Water Plumbing - Tap Repair

The plumber arrived an hour after the allotted service window. Didn't have the part for one tap and, despite my 2 follow up calls, no one ever called or visited to finish the job.

Plumbing

I had New Water come in to address a problem I had with my shower leaking onto the ceiling of the condo below me. They were familiar with the units in our condo, and as such were recommended by the condo board.

The skill with which the plumber executed his craft saved me hundreds of dollars. Long story short, they could have smashed the tiles out of the way in order to get at some hard to reach pipes, or they could take the time to carefully preserve the tiles and use them to do a seamless patch up job. They did the latter. There's no way I would have found the exact tile to replace it if he had just busted in there.

Talent is hard to find in the trades, and the guy that NW dispatched to service my problem was top notch. Everyone I dealt with was a true pro. Totally impressed.

kitchen plumbing

I've used them twice. The first time they were amazing, went above and beyond for some work that needed doing in my kitchen. And I mean, really above and beyond. The second time they came to fix a leaking sink, said it needed a part that would be in the following week, then seemed to forget about it -- I had to call each week for three weeks before they came back. Very strange, but the first experience was great so I'd definitely give them another try.

Bathroom plumbing

Ridiculous company to deal with, with poor communication between dispatch and workers, and between any of them and the customer. They sent the wrong person for the first job, then did not give us a total until we asked for it several times over the course of a week, which they then informed was to be charged to my credit card. Sent the worker late for the second job, which was much less involved, and cost almost the same as the first job. I would not recommend them unless you are in a bind and don't care how much money you're spending or how long it will take.
