I have had a plumber come in two months ago from this company and gave us a quote for about $4,300 for all the work that needs to be done to the house. He said it would cost $1000 for the main floor and the rest will go towards the basement work.
We decided to go ahead with the main floor work and a little of bit of the basement work so we called New Canadian Plumbing, we requested the same plumber that gave us the quote and told them what we needed done but the person on the phone said it was ok, if they didn't have the equipment they would get it when they get to work.
Instead, we got a different plumber who happens to have the same first name, there was some confusion there as I believe he thought it was only a quote and he came in gave us a price for one of the items and was putting his shoes back on ready to leave until I stared at him and asked him what he was doing, and he said call us when you are ready. I guess there was a misunderstanding there as we were prepared to do more work than he expected. (Even though we already have a quote from them, why would I want a second quote from the same company?)
- replace kitchen faucet (completed)
- add dishwasher line (completed)
- rough in for washer and dryer to back porch
- video drain of the basement drain
- cover drain holes in the basement
- add discharge tube to water heater
But only the first two things were done as the plumber that came in said he doesn't have the camera and it's a lot of work to do the rest. Well that's why we called them to do in the first place. The first plumber gave us a few suggestions on how to do the rough ins but the second plumber didn't seem to want to do it because he said we have to think about it - we thought about it for two months. I wanted to do all the work listed above in one shot as it would of been cheaper to do instead of calling them again to do the rest of the work.
I already emailed this company about my concerns regarding this issue but obviously their customer service and communication isn't great as I didn't get a reply or follow up regarding the work I requested 3 times.
I guess I have to find another plumbing company that are a little bit more organized.
