Kitchen renovation

Matt was great! He was creative, conscientious, hard working and totally honest. We wanted to open up the wall and build a peninsula between our kitchen and dining room and update our kitchen but wanted to do some of the work ourselves to save money. Matt was willing to work with us to make this happen. He had great and practical ideas for the crazy challenges that come up when you are trying to update an older home (and are buying faucets etc. off eBay) and he was incredibly patient when we would change our minds about something. With Matt's guidance and hard work we completed a kitchen reno in 11 days right before Christmas on a very reasonable budget and everyone who has seen it has been wowed. Photos will be uploaded soon.

drywall and painting

HomeStars really works! Took a chance on Matt and we were not disappointed. He is reliable, honest, punctual and very pleasant. He did exceptional work constructing a wall in our basement, including framing, insulation, drywall and all finishing plus hanging a door. His work was meticulous and he is completely transparent about what he charges (materials plus a very reasonable hourly rate). Matt also did some exterior painting, quickly and well. No reservations, we recommend Matt very highly!

projects around the house

Matt was so great and easy to have around. Had new ceramic floors, drywall, new shingles on the garage, the garage preped and then painted, new eavestroughs on the garage and he set up a rain barrel off the downspouts from the garage. Lots of landscaping, moving trees, bushes and digging out a new garden. Many other smaller jobs as well. He was always here when he said he would be, very trustworthy and knowledgeable. You can't go wrong, everything was done so well and he cleaned up after very well. I am looking forward to having him come back in the fall for some more work.
