Maret's Quality Home Cleaning

After our cleaning lady of 18 years retired, we tried several cleaning services but no one ever matched what she had done......until we met Maret. After a visit to our home, Maret gave us a detailed estimate of the cleaning costs and made sure she understood our concerns and expectations. Her cleaning crew arrived on time and proceeded to expertly clean every room until the house was spotless! Her staff was courteous and friendly and before they left, had me check their work to make sure I was satisfied. An excellent job was done and I will definitely ask them to come again!

My husband & I recently moved into a large old downtown home that had only been lived in off and on for a few years and then had some small reno work done to sell that had not been well cleaned up. On top of this there were original radiators in every room that had not been cleaned in years, possibly decades. We moved in and added dust and bits with all our unpacking. My parents were coming to visit and we realized we had to do something drastic. Maret and her crew were real life savers for us. I found her company on Homestars and she came the next day to give us a quote. We were a little shocked at the price but after going through her very detailed quote and thinking about how long it took us to clean various things we realized just how much work was involved. We ended up cutting out a few items, but I insisted those radiators had to stay in! It was the best investment we've made since moving! They arrived first thing in the morning right on time and worked through to 3:30 or 4. They were a team of 5 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon and they were all real workers. My husband and I both have home offices and work from home so we were here the whole day and got to see just how hard they scrubbed and cleaned. They did a great job on the radiators and you could feel the difference in the air after they left. They couldn't make a 100 year old house new but it was really clean. And their own cleaning solution is very effective. They brought all their own equipment and were really well organized. The thing that really struck me was that faced with a filthy thing like a fireplace and grill that hadn't been cleaned in years they didn't give off that feeling like they were depressed at the look of it and didn't really want to clean it and just wanted to be somewhere else. They were all really focused on their tasks and had very good attention to detail. They worked all the hours they said and got a lot more done in that time than I've seen other cleaners do. I would say the thing that makes them so great is Maret's detailed planning, they come prepared and they all know what their tasks are in detail and can work to get it done. She also clearly knows how to hire people with an eye for detail and they seem to have put a lot of thought into their cleaning solution because it works very well. She left some with us at the end of the day and I've been trying it on various items and have been quite please with the results. Thanks so much Maret and team. My husband and I knew we needed a lot of help with cleaning our new house so that it was move-in ready. Being pregnant, I simply didn't have the energy to take on such a large task. That's why we were so happy that we found Maret and her team. Maret was able to come to our house before move-in day to make a detailed estimate of how many hours it would take to get the house into tip-top shape. On cleaning day, Maret's team of girls cleaned the entire house from top to bottom. They were extremely professional and paid very close attention to detail. You could tell they took great pride in their work. They even used q-tips to get into the crevices of the house as well as our appliances (which were extremely dirty). The house is now squeaky clean and appliances look brand new. My husband and I are thrilled. Our house feels like a home now! Maret's services cost a bit more than other companies but the quality of work far exceeds the others. We actually saved money because now we don’t’ have to buy new appliances anymore. We will definitely be using this company again in the future.

After reparging a basement wall, and then having to knock some of that off again, the house was filled with fine corrosive dust that even got into drawers 2 floors away despite all the best precautions of the contractors. Since I have asthma I was suffering, and tried to clean it up myself, but it just seemed to be chased around.
Maret brought in the team of Jacquie, Carmen, Sandra and Maris who cleaned every nook and cranny, with equipment ranging from HEPA filter vacuum cleaners to Q-tips and left the house sparkling and me able to breathe again.
I also use Maret when I go on trips of 2 or 3 months and have her team come in to get the house spic and span for my return as no one else does much while I'm gone.

We recently purchased our first home, and while it was tidy, we wanted to make sure that every nook and cranny was as clean as it could be before we moved in. We arranged to meet Maret on the morning after we took possession to perform a walk-through and provide an estimate. She was able to meet us at 8am at the new house. We had shown her pictures and provided a detailed description of what we wanted done, so she was able to provide a rough estimate over email, the walk-through was just to confirm. She was very thorough, spotting things I certainly wouldn't have :)

Two ladies arrived shortly after and spent the day cleaning every corner of our new house. I was amazed at the attention to detail: behind and underneath appliances, inside the fridge (including the plastic lining around the door), inside our washing machine and dryer, etc. At the end of the day, the house was absolutely spotless and the work was done according to the estimate. This made moving in so much easier... we were able to just relax in our house instead of worrying about cleaning.

When Maret's crew finished giving my house the deep clean that I requested, the house just gleamed. Surfaces sparkled and the house look brighter and also smelled fresh using the all-natural cleaner. They were thorough in cleaning areas that I hadn't considered like cupboard doors. As requested, they cleaned the difficult-to-reach spots under the kitchen appliances, wiped all the light fixtures and cleaned the heating elements. And as a bonus, Maret even had the front porch swept and dusted so that leaves and dirt would not get tracked onto the clean floors. I only wish that I was able to afford having the windows cleaned at the same time. The staff was polite and very professional. It was not an inexpensive service, but was well worth it. I definitely would not hesitate to recommend Maret's cleaning services.

I hired Maret and her team to help me remove the remnants of two unbelievably filthy tenants who it seemed hadn't cleaned one surface in the entire two years they lived in my condo. My priority areas had been the bathrooms, where there were multiple layers of soap scum and grey rings around the tub, the tiles all over the house were dingy and dark and just disgusting. The star of the show however was the washer/dryer, so filthy inside, it seemed impossible that they could be used to clean anything. Since I also had plans to renovate before selling the unit, I had multiple service people in and out of the apartment and was working with a tight deadline. Maret made sure to somehow schedule the ladies with my time-line, and they were both on time and came prepared. Not only did they sufficiently clean all the problem areas, they followed my preferences AND did it all the work surrounded by a high traffic of people coming and going and most probably in their way. Also they did all of this without a complaint and with :) Thank you Maret!

Maret's cleaning crew were excellent, she provided us with lots of staff including herself. I was amazed that she could get the staff together in 2 days notice for a large job. They started the day pretty early just so she could finish my house in one day. We had renovations done at our home, the house was very dusty from all the sawdust due to the sanding of floors. They cleaned with q-tips and they pulled out all the appliances and cleaned behind and underneath, they cleaned the walls and the ceilings. They reached spots that nobody else could. Our place was spotless when they left ready for us to move in the next day. I would strongly recommend them and I would call them again myself.

I had a window replacement by a company called Monopoly General Contracting Inc. (on another review) which created a mess of my house with dusts everywhere. I don't have any reference for good housecleaning and I found Maret's through Homestars. I called Maret's immediately and Maret (the owner) came the next day early in the morning. She explained everything clearly and we walked through the whole house. My wife and I agreed with her estimate and a team of 10 people arrived promptly at my house the very next day (a Saturday!)Maret assigned the work to her crew individually to every room. I am very impressed with their work. They hand-wiped each sheet of the blinds and walls,dusted my comforters outside the house,and cleaned all the surfaces essentially. Everything was back to their original conditions after the cleaning. The crew is very professional and tailored to our requirements. I give them a 10 out of 10. Their price may look a little more expensive but you get every penny worth of it.
