Sump Pump outlet

Kia was the quickest to respond and come over to look at the electrical situation in my basement. He was on time, called me when he said he would and he had all his tools with him so did the job on the spot. The job was to install an outlet for my sump pump. Kia was very knowledgeable and gave great advice. He assessed the options and chose the best solution, that was luckily also the cheapest. I will definitly be calling him for my future electrical services. Thanks!

Recess lights & Miscellaneous Items

Kia first came by to provide a free quote, which is very helpful when it comes to budgeting for the work needed. Kia and his team were extremely accommodating and was able to schedule me in during Canada's day! This is a huge plus for me because I wouldn't need to take a day off of work. This team works efficient and fast. Got the job done in one day.

I decided to call Kia because my original electrician broke stuff here and there, created numerous holes in the wall when he didn't need to, didn't know how to wire a 3-way switch properly, took 3 days to do hook up a couple of lights which would have taken Kia and his team an hour or two to do. I started getting stressed with the original electrician because of the quality of work; so i decided to call it off and go with Kia instead.

Thank goodness I went with Kia. He explained everything very well and was very careful when picking where to drill the recess light holes. If my original electrician were to do it, i would probably have to call an emergency plumber to fix the damages. Kia and his team only needed to make one hole in the wall to get the job done, and was able to help patch up all the extra holes that my previous electrician made.

Kia, if you are reading this, I'm going to be calling you back one day to do the exterior potlights! Thanks for all your hard work.

fixing fault pot lights; installing under cabinet lighting; assessing live wire

Kiya is excellent. He comes on time, quickly, and solves whatever electrical issue we have. The price is fair and as quoted. I'm so glad we've found our go-to electrician. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Full Electrical Upgrade

This was our second time doing a complete electrical upgrade including knob and tube replacement and this time was much better than the first thanks to Kiya Sunrise. We did our research and after getting several quotes we decided to go with Kiya Sunrise as we were satisfied with the options he suggested and the price was fair. Overall they did a fantastic job. Kiya went above and beyond what others would offer, providing extra outlets, 3-way switches, fixture replacement, you name it. OUr total job was a complete electrical upgrade including replacing the majority of the original knob and tube wiring in a 2-storey house. We also had some pot lights installed in our main floor and basement, plus a new 100-amp electrical service. The job ended up being more complicated than expected, yet Kiya stuck to the original agreed upon quote. We would highly recommend Kiya to anyone looking for a trustworthy electrician with the experience to handle large electrical upgrades.

Basement electrical

Kia came to our house to give us a free quote after work hours and then came back to do the job on a Saturday - he is very accommodating! He fixed the electrical wiring in our finished basement to bring it up to code, and pulled extra wires up to the kitchen. He worked non-stop to finish everything within a day. Thanks, Kia.

Knob and Tube removal

Kia and his crew did a great job replacing knob and tube in my 80 yr old house. He and his crew were friendly, responsive and efficient. They clearly knew what they were doing and took care while working in my house. Reasonably priced. Clean up could have been a bit better.

Complete rewiring of aluminum back split house, installation of pot lights and fans

My husband and I contacted Kiya Sunrise Electrical because of all the positive reviews on Homestars and because they have experience in rewiring backsplit homes. After reviewing a few quotes from other contractors, we decided to choose Kiya because he was very prompt at getting back to us with a quote and answering all our questions. Our main criteria in going into this renovation were: 1) Experience/Reviews, 2) Promptness in giving a quote/returning phone calls/emails, 3) Patching up holes in dry wall after rewiring, and 4) Reasonable pricing/completion time. Kiya and his team fit the bill. From day one, Kiya and his team were on time, protected the floors they were working on, and were very considerate in keeping the electricity on in the essential rooms (as we were living through our renovation). They rewired our entire house to copper, installed two bathroom fans, wired our smoke detectors, installed our range hood and some timers, added/moved some electrical outlets/switches for better functionality, and placed approx. 60 beautifully spaced pot lights throughout our house (incorporating and maintaining the design of the plaster ceiling in our dining room). Kiya also showed us several burnt out plugs and hidden aluminum/copper junction boxes that were extremely hazardous (and would never have been found if rewiring was not completed).
After much hard work, a couple days in freezing temperatures (as our furnace temporarily stopped working), and several challenges in accessing all the aluminum wiring, Kiya and his team delivered on time and Kiya stuck to his quote. Kiya even called back a week after rewiring just to check up on us and returned promptly to help us straighten out some outlets and to install a timer.
We are so thankful to have chosen Kiya and his team to complete the rewiring of our house. We highly recommend Kiya and we will be calling him back for any other future electrical work.
Thank you so much Kiya, we really appreciate your honesty, hard work, and experience.

Aluminum rewire + 200amp upgrade

I had just recently purchased a home built in the 70's and had contracted Kia to upgrade my houses from 100A service to 200A service. Before he was to start the job I had came across the fact that the whole house was wired with aluminum wire. I called Kia and he was there the next day ( which was a Sunday ). He gave me a pretty reasonable quote considering other similar rewiring costs on this site and it also still included the service upgrade. Kia and his team started the following Monday right on time. As the job progressed it turned out to be a more difficult job than Kia had guessed given the fact that the house is a 5-level backsplit with wires going all over the place from one half storey to another and also two very shallow attics. Kia spent the extra time needed and had his team working hard to get the job as soon as they could. The original estimated time was 3-4 days and with all the obstacles it took an additional couple days. Kia did not try and adjust his original quote. He stood by it. And through all the rewiring he also scheduled my power shut of with Toronto hydro to switch out my meter base and put in my new 200A panel. The panel he put in is enough to run another entire house. Great for any possible basement renovations. Great thinking! He also scheduled an inspection so I could get papers certifying the house is all copper for insurance and resale purposes. Over all my experience with Kia was above top notch. He promptly responds to phone calls and is very patient with explaining the things that he's doing and why they need to be done. I wouldn't hesitate a second to hire him and his crew for any future electrical work. I can't recommend him enough. Thanks Kia!!
