I ordered the kitchen from the Kitchen Centre on the recommendation of a friend in the spring of 2009.
When it arrived the painted kitchen I ordered and paid extra for was not painted but covered in plastic that is cheaper than thermofoil. The whole kitchen of a very low quality, was never fully delivered and was not what company told us we had ordered.
The installation we paid $1000 for was of even worse. The majority of the cabinets were mounted incorrectly and not even leveled and at the end of the day the installers informed us that they were not coming back to finish the job. In a sense we were relieved because they did more damage than installation.
Upon talking with the Kitchen Centre we were informed that they would gladly finish the job provided that we paid them in full beforehand and refused our offer of half upon delivery of the rest of our kitchen and half when the job was done properly. This seemed like a fair trade given the incredibly poor performance they had shown to this point.
In the end we had to hire a second firm to redo everything at an expense above and beyond our original quotation.
Bottom line...save yourself the money and just go to Ikea or Homedepot and buy their cheapest kitchen cabinets. You'll get twice the quality for half the price.
