New Pool Install

We have been delaying with this company for 12 years since our pool has been installed. We receive all our supplies from them every year and they are very easy to work with. Overall they are an amazing company.

replace ingound pool equipment

our inground pool ws in desperate need of a new pump and filtration system. Old equipment was about 15 years old and no longer doing the job. Met with staff member at International and he went through their in stock pumps and also some other pumps not currently in stock. Advised me to hold off buying these pieces for another 2 weeks as these new products were highly praised in the industry and would be coming in and being sold at reduced prices as this was there first introduction to these parts. Bought the equipment two weeks later, price great and service great also.

Spa Pump Repair

I must say that this has so far been the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I brought my pump in for repair with a slight leak and was told it would take a couple of days. A few days later we get a phone call saying the repair was $140 for replacement of the mechanical seal, impeller and labor. Later they call and ask me to describe my pump because they have lost it and they have 2, one can be repaired the other cannot. They found mine (the repairable one) and someone would call me tomorrow. 3 days later I called, not hearing from them and they said it would be back the following day. I get it back finally on the Thurs. before the August long weekend and install after having drained, cleaned and refilled the spa. It started up and was noisy but it seemed to quiet down after a couple of minutes of running. I woke up the next morning and found my pump completely dead. I called the Pickering store and they referred me back to the Oshawa store. There service department told me the person who fixed my pump was not in and would not be back until the Tuesday after the long weekend and noone else could help me. I called Tuesday and he was still not in, someone would call me. No calls, called on Wed. and they said PIckering would call after I had asked to speak to a manager. They now tell me they will give me a $140 credit towards a new pump. No apologies at all! After they completely ruined my pump. I am currently seeking legal advice.

Esther Williams Above Ground Aluminum Pool

Beware of this company. In 2004 I purchased a high end Esther Williams pool. I paid the extra money for the peace of mind of the "lifetime" warranty on their aluminum pool. 2 years later the pool wall pitted and caused holes to form in the liner. The dealer viewed it and claimed it would be fully covered. When it came time to replace it Esther Williams provided the replacement wall but the dealer wanted $1200 to do the warranty work, plus the cost of a new liner. International Pool and Spas would not intervene to ensure the warranty work was done. I now have to do it myself which will no doubt void the warranty.

Pool opening/closing

Since they installed a new filter for me last summer, I had this company close and open my in-ground pool to ensure there would be no warranty issues if any problems arose with the filter. The crew that closed my pool broke my walk-in steps, but neglected to tell me. Then, the crew that opened my pool did not bring the necessary parts to fix the steps (which was agreed when the appointment was made), dragged my cover full of debris through the pool during the opening, and left numerous plugs and work undone. The manager tried making things right, but his admin staff didn't help by incorrectly applying the credit he indicated would be forthcoming. It took weeks for everything to get resolved, and was far too frustrating to want to do business with them again.

Had trouble from day one. When I called customer service, it was never their fault, it always had to be something I did. Will never purchase from them again!
